I need a 1 or 2 hour lesson on a manual bike this week. I do not want a licence although I will consider taking a proper course later this year. Does anyone know of a motorbike school in Penang or can you teach me? I can ride an automatic scooter and I can drive a manual car. I just need someone to show me how to ride a manual bike as I am going on a bike holiday soon on a 125 manual.

My friend only has a semi-automatic. All the rental shops on Chulia St only have automatics and semi-automatics as well. Do you know where I can hire a manual?

u are already driving a manual car, practically it's just the same, only that now you just playing the clutch with your hand instead of leg. so no worries!

Thanks for the tips. I think it will be quite easy as well. The only thing is I'm going on a biking holiday very soon and the holiday bike rental shop will not rent to beginners. I want at least 30 mins practice before I collect the bike from this rental shop.

Right leg accelerator = Right hand accelerator for bike. Right leg brake for car = right hand for brake lever. Left leg for clutch in car = left leg on bike. But on a bike you have the foot brake which is operated by your right leg.
