Hi, I would like to build a PC, things I need are CPU, motherboard and 4GB/8GB DDR4 RAM, currently comparing Intel G4560 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 pathway that I can probably save 250 bucks difference, gonna use for web browsing, general word/excel and The SIMS, re-using SSD, casing and power supply.

QUOTE(TristanX @ Dec 22 2017, 09:05 AM) AMD Ryzen 1200 has 4 cores, G4560 has only 2. Definitely Ryzen 3 1200 will blow G4560 away. On top of that, AMD says the motherboard will be supported till at least 2020. G4560 is dead if you cant find Kaby Lake CPUs for upgrade if Intel no longers manufactures it. Coffee Lake is not compatible with G4560 motherboard chipsets. AMD Ryzen 3 1200 - 519 Asrock AB350M Pro4 - 399 Kingston 8GB DDR4-2400 - 395 Thanks for the reply, will probably fund a bit more for Ryzen 3 as I need a dedicated gc to pair with it, currently running old GT220.
