Hello guys. I need some professional help from you guys since I'm not that good in building customize PC. Main use is for gaming (pubg, csgo, dota and any latest games)

Budget: RM3500 (3.7k max)
Procs: Any but Intel is preferred
Graphic Card: Nvidia preferred
SSD:120GB

Either AMD Ryzen or more expensive Coffee Lake. Adding SSD to low budget makes your spec lower. How about these?

Core i5-8400 - 778
MSI Z370 Gaming Plus - 599
Corsair 8GB DDR4-2400 X1 - 400
Zotac GTX 1050 Ti 4GB DDR5 Mini - 719
Kingston UV400 120GB - 255
WD Blue or Seagate 1TB - 200
Super Flower Leadex Silver 550W - 359
Tecware Edge case - 199

RM3509 total (C-Zone prices)
CPU, mobo and RAM already more than your budget. Small form factor is even more expensive. Hunt for 2nd hand at garage sales.
*
If Ryzen, what is your suggestion of mobo and procs? Also, is it true that there is a limited choice of mobo if I choose Coffee Lake (8400) Should I remove SSD and get at least GTX 1060 6Gb instead?

How about these?

AMD Ryzen 3 1200 - 519
Asus Prime B350M-A - 445
Corsair 8GB DDR4-2400 X1 - 400
Zotac GTX 1050 Ti 4GB DDR5 Mini - 719
WD Blue or Seagate 1TB - 200
Corsair VS 450W - 180
Tecware F3 case - 145

RM2608 total (C-Zone prices)

Switch the CPU to Ryzen 5 1400 for 3k build.
If gaming only, Intel wins. Ryzen is better for gaming and streaming.

For Ryzen, switch to these

AMD Ryzen 5 1600 (6C, 12T) - 1039
Asrock AB350M Pro 4 - 399

GTX 1060 6GB will need to cut the CPU to Ryzen 5 1400 and SSD.
*
Already finalized it for my build. Need comments and recommendations. prices are from lelong.

i5 8400 - 754
msi z370 gaming plus - 560
zotac 1060 6gb amp - 1269
Kingston HyperX Fury 8gb 2666mhz - 408
1tb wd - 179
psu super flower leadex silver 550w - 323
tecware edge casing - 149

Total: RM3642

I can add another RM300. Should I need an AIO water cooler or should I go with SSD. if yes, what type and brand of SSD?

Your budget includes monitor? If no:

CPU: AMD RYZEN 5 2400G 3.6GHZ RM 682.00
MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-AB350M-GAMING 3 RM 347.00
RAM: G.SKILL FLARE X 16GB (2X8GB) DDR4 2400MHZ RM 699.00
GPU: GALAX GTX 1060 OC 6GB GDDR5 RM 1,158.00
SSD: GALAX 240GB GAMER L RM 188.00
HDD: SEAGATE 3.5' BARRACUDA 1TB RM 170.00
PSU: EVGA 500W 500BV 80+ BRONZE RM 209.00
CASE: TECWARE NEXUS M TG M-ATX CHASSIS RM 139.00

TOTAL: RM3,592 (E Tech prices)
If yes:

CPU: AMD RYZEN 5 2400G 3.6GHZ RM 682.00
MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-AB350M-GAMING 3 RM 347.00
RAM: G.SKILL FLARE X 16GB (2X8GB) DDR4 2400MHZ RM 699.00
GPU: ZOTAC GTX 1050 TI OC 4GB GDDR5 RM 745.00
SSD: GALAX 240GB GAMER L RM 188.00
HDD: SEAGATE 3.5' BARRACUDA 1TB RM 170.00
PSU: EVGA 500W 500BV 80+ BRONZE RM 209.00
CASE: TECWARE NEXUS M TG M-ATX CHASSIS RM 139.00
MONITOR: ACER 24'' ED242QR RM 754.00

TOTAL: RM3,933 (E Tech prices)

Acer will have better colour cause it's VA panel. Having said that, 1050ti isn't enough to push demanding titles to 144hz. You could opt for 8GB ram only and get a 1060 6gb instead.
*
Thank you very much. Yes my budget is without monitor. I will first sell my old monitor (BenQ EW2440) and add some money for new 144hz monitor.

your price quotation is from which shop if I may ask? Because I searched these items at shopee and there is far cheaper. I can save some money from there.

In between, tecware nexus and edge, is nexus is nicer?

The prices are based on E Tech PC in Kepong and they are just a reference. If you find any cheaper prices else where, feel free to get it from there biggrin.gif

Nexus has a tad bit of better airflow compared to edge.

Anyway, thank you so much for your help! Will use this as my reference!

Hi. need a help for my friend rig. He prefers the smallest case that is available in the market or at least small enough to carry around.

Budget is around RM4k not more than that. Use for gaming.

Thank you sifu.

Hi guys. This is my planned build. I do need help in terms of motherboard and PSU.

1. What type of MOBO should I go with? MSI B360M or MSI H370? I'm kinda confused.
2. Does 600w more than enough for this build? If so can you guys give a suggestion for it?
3. What type and brand of casing should I go with? I'm going with White theme.

This build is roughly RM4000-RM4500. Any suggestion and comments are welcomed. Thanks!

Go to the website to check for USB and SATA Ports for the motherboard. More features means more expensive it gets. VRM cooling may get better as well. If you decide to upgrade ot i7 somewhere in the future, VRM cooling is very important.

Yes, 600W is more than enough. Consider Seasonic Focus Plus 650W, Corsair TX650M and Super Flower Leadex II Gold 650W if you want higher grade.

Casing looks is entirely you. How about Corsair Carbide 275R White?

Thank you! Will look forward regarding your suggestions.

Meanwhile, what do you think about my RAM? Do you have any suggestion? Value per GB? 2x8GB 2666MHZ?

Hello! This is my final build after some research that I did. There a few things that I need help from sifu here.

1) Does my MOBO is good enough or you guys have any suggestion on the better B360 mobo? contemplating between asus tuf b360 and msi b360 gaming plus
2) I'm very particular about airflow plus this casing requires a good airflow as well. I'm thinking to put AIO on top of the case. and 3 x 120mm case fan at the front and 1x 120mm at the back of the case.
my question is, what fan case is good enough for that 3 x 120mm? my last choice would be White LED Aigo. but if there's a need for higher rpm fan case like Corsair or any other brands, can you guys suggest me?

3) Also, having a lot of fans, does b360 mobo provides enough pin headers for a total of 4 case fans? I'm sorry as I am quite new in rig building.

thank you

1. Both of the mobos are more or less the same. Guess it comes down to your color preference. Do take note that Asus Tuf B360 Gaming Plus has 2 M.2 slots if that's something that concerns you.

2. Can refer to this as a guide: https://www.timesdigit.com/best-case-fans.html. I'd settle for Aigo first and monitor the temps. If you feel that your system is too hot, then only go for those high-performance fans.

3. Based on the MSI B360 Gaming Plus specs, there's 5 x 4-pin system fan connectors so you should be in good hands. You can always get a splitter too if you run out of pin headers on your mobo.

Also, Adata XPG SX8200 is a newer model with higher writes/reads.
*
It it was you, which one would you prefer? MSI or Asus TUF? For the theme, I'm going with all white. Including the GC that I've decided to go with Galax 1070ti Sniper OC. Still, don't know if
a) White + black and red mobo vs
b) white + black and yellow mobo hmm.gif

Thank you for the link. I think I shall go with your suggestion for those fans.

I'm going with XPG SX6000 Pro. A newer version than SX6000. The budget will exceed if go with SX8200 tongue.gif

Hmmm based on the prices online, the arctic mobo is only like RM50 max extra though. Where are you getting your selected parts price from?

All parts are from lelong except ssd from shopee. Yeah the difference is RM58. I don't if I shouls push it or not bcs right now its already 5.2k incld mobo arctic. Hmm

Hmmm. That really depends on your wallet. I assume your initial max budget was RM5k? But RM58 extra just to complete white theme doesn't sound too bad to me hahah. I mean, if you were to get MSI/Asus B360 and 3 months down the road you can't tahan the mixed colours, you'll end up spending more by selling it and getting the MSI B360 Arctic.

Another option to save budget is to hunt for 2nd hand Galax 1070Ti. I've seen fairly new 2nd hand Galax 1070Ti Ex-Sniper going for around RM1,500. Can save RM400 there.
*
Truth to be told my budget was actually 4.5k but since white theme is not achievable with that kind of budget. I had to improvised. Probably I'll just go with Arctic. Thank you for the 'tambah sikit lagi' biggrin.gif

Was planning to go for 2nd hand. But it can be hard especially for the waiting game.

I personally will pick the R5 2600. You can overclock it later to match or overpass the R5 2600X performance. Save some money. You already mentioned that you will use aftermarket AIO right?

The 200Mhz difference is not enough to justify the price difference.
*
Noted. Thank you for the heads up. 2600 is clearly value for money than 2600x. Any recommended mobo for 2600? Planning to get B3450 MSI Gaming Plus.
