Sup guys, can anyone recommend ITX build budget for around 2.5k?
No plan for games at all, i'm looking at ryzen 5 3600 as cpu. For productivity

One question, 1 ram (16gb 3600mhz) or 2 ram (8gbx2 3200 mhz) better?

@TristanX @chocobo7779

one question if I'm not playing game but watching yt/netflix and I want to run xiaomi monitor 34" 3440 x 1440 @ 144 hz, what is the minimum gpu required? will low power gtx 1050 suffice?

I can see some like GT 710 has cap at 4k @ 60hz.

Hi

Can anyone help me to build a pc with NZXT H1 case? Technically just for web browsing. No intention on upgrading in the future as well so not really bothered with old products

Budget: 3.5k-4k, lower better.
Prefer to get all at one store.

Oh and wanna watch movie on 3440x1440 - 144 hz, no games tho. So need the cheapest GPU to run at that resolution. does integrated graphic works?

Already got the case?
Ryzen 5 5600x rm1349
B550i asus strix rm1049
16gb klevv bolt x 3200mhz rm279
512gb transcend mte 220s nvme rm299
Gtx 1650 rm750

I build 2 b4... elegant if u keep it all dark

sorry dont have the case, going to buy together with the rest of the parts.

yeah, looks so clean with black.

ryzen 5 5600x probably overkill for me lol

a little bit off-topic, i recently purchased a full desktop from czone

after assembly i found out asrock a620i phantom lightning has issues with the mediatek Wifi. can't connect to wifi at all, i have extra wifi card from asus pce AX3000 to replace onboard wifi. Czone apparently can't do it the reason they were saying is because reassembly would be difficult due to VRM heatsink.

does anyone has shop recommendation where i can get my onboard wifi replaced?

VRM heatsinks can be taken out problem is the wifi card is inside a built in housing. Doubtful any shop will take the risks if even your PC builder dont.

Ref 2.03 for HS teardown

thanks for this, the lack of equipment at my end remain a problem as to why i can't do it myself. heck i dont even have anti static bag with me and i need to remove the cpu cooler but i dont have thermal paste bangwall.gif

my bad really, should have checked the reviews on the board connectivity - got clouded by its great VRM. Wifi is essentially fundamental component not sure why distributor such as Asrock neglected this.

Not really so much Asrock fault. AMD has poorer wifi support relying on others even Intel AX210 upto Wifi6 but since BE200 is broken for Ryzen, AMD has to rely on others ie Mediatek, Realtek for wifi chips that are more open but downside these are very finicky solutions even when on Intel platform. ie My Intel mobo using Realtek audio chip and its Nahimic on off will break leading to a full reinstall & setup again.

Your only other option is to use a USB wifi receiver.

New CPU cooler dont even come with a bit of thermal paste? Hmm...  hmm.gif

i see, learned new thing on the bold.

since its a new cpu cooler and if i can confirm the pc builder pasted it then i dont have to repaste thermal paste since i am only lifting it for a short period?

Currently i am using r5 7500f, a620i lightning and lian li sp750 sfx gold psu. I am planning to get gpu but honestly for game i only play gacha like wuthering wave and other than that just minor data science/coding.

But torn with these 4 gpu

Rtx 5060 8gb - rm1200
Rtx 5060 ti 16gb - 1.9k
Rtx 5070 12gb - 2.2k
Rx 9070 16gb - 2.5k

Budget kinda stretched for rx 9070 but main concern if my board can handle the rx 9070 plus future upgrade on my processor lets say 9800x3d. 5070 seems like the best bet because its only + rm300 more from 5060 ti 16gb.. but lose 4gb vram. Geez why the fk nvidia cant just give rtx 5070 16gb.. personally leaning towards nvidia more because of its software stability etc

better decide fast now, all the memory price are not sky rocketed, I have a strong feeling next will be gpu.

thats the whole point, dont really need one badly but afraid i won't be able to upgrade in upcoming few years.

Ask around if that data science/coding software uses CUDA or just general calculations. Also if VRAM size makes a difference if yes only consider the 16GB cards. Also check others experience using Radeons.

If Radeon cards are okay, that 9700 is the best performant giving 10% more than 5070 but at a RM 300 premium (basically >10% price diff for 10% better, isit worth it?).

For that game you play its very light specs, and unlikely the VRAM issue will affect you but get one with at least 12GB.

For games & app mixed use I would reco 5060TI 16GB as a decent all rounder. And it will also play well with your current PSU.

As for upgrading to 9800x3d, just dont as Asrock mobo are killing x3d and nobody knows why. Also that basic A series board has insufficient VRMS for powerhouse CPUS.

thank you and @adamtayy as he alternatively was suggesting RX 9060 XT 16gb (shopee prices around 1.5k-1.6k), i think this is wiser choice for me although i really wanted to be in team green (as ive seen review where NVIDIA does well on software side RT etc) but 5060 TI 16gb price is 400 more then i would rather get 5070 as again the difference in price is only 300 but would have to compromise with 12gb vram. forcing myself to be rational here obviously my game doesn't need strong raw power and for what i do daily really these GPU is overkill. save the money and get 4k oled monitor seems like the wiser choice here biggrin.gif

thanks again folks.

3070 looks promising for maximum frames/dollar.
Found a white one for ~RM1k.

In terms of purely rasterisation, it actually outperforms the 5060 and the 4060Ti in a number of games.
Sure it consumes more power, but as long as it runs cool I can live with it.

I have more or less same build as you, rasterization i guess 9060 xt would fit more on your budget. Shopee is selling like rm1.4k now? You get a new gpu with 16gb VRAM covering for the future. TDP is also more efficient and if you are into frame generation or sort, 9000 series radeon will support AMD Redstone.

Initially i wanted to get 9060xt to save a lot more money, but i am planning on getting 4k OLED monitor so i went all out to get RTX 5070 instead to cover at least UHBR20 (latest monitor bandwith). It is something that Radeon doesn't have yet even on latest 9000 series. Although it does not matter honestly with DSC. Personally I don't play that much games anymore, even RTX 5070 is extremely overkill but if I do i am that individual that doesn't need everything to be maxed out. Just planning to hold the GPU for long time (my GPU is still r9 285 lol) so software support and of such really important for me and based on the internet feedback team green provide amazing software support for very long time. Also worried the memory pricing issues might plague over to GPU. shopee deals is going nuts, got my rtx 5070 at around rm2080?
