Hey thabks for the suggestion bro. Unfortunately not able to salvage any parts off the old system its not broken but since ive a spare monitor ill b converting it into htpc.

Just wondering wheyher i should go for i3 7100 and topup bit more to get gtx1060 3gb. What r your thoughts?
*
not recommend to use i3. either go G4560 or R3 1200(if prefered game/software utilise real cores)
i3 is basically dead when Intel make Pentium G with hyperthreading + with R3 1200/1300X sit nicely in between G4560 & i5 7400/R5 1400 price range.

Thanks for your reply.

I'm currently using i7 7700 and RTX 4070 with SUPER FLOWER 650W LEADEX II 80PLUS GOLD POWER SUPPLY SF-650F14EG (BK), still no problem with playing GTAV and RDR2 at max settings @ 2560x1080p / 144Hz. Will upgrade to 4K monitor in the future if budget permits biggrin.gif

I haven't do any stress/Furmark test or any kind of similar benchmarking, will this be a concern in the future?

My current rig:

i7 7700 already consider low power compare to Intel latest E & P cores CPUs. The non K skus can easily reach 100+W cause of turbo speed sweat.gif
