Hello all sifus, I am a total newbie in building rigs but I am planning to build one in the near future. I'm still not too sure on the compatibility and how good it is, so any sifus could highlight a thing or 2 for me to improve or could reduce the cost is highly appreciated. Motherboard: MSI Z270 Gaming Pro CarbonProcessor: Intel i7-7700KGPU: MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X 8GRAM: G.Skill Trident Z RGB PC4 3000Mhz (8GBx2)Storage: Samsung 960 EVO M.2 500GBCooling: Corsair Hydro 100i v2Power Supply: Cooler Master MasterWatt Lite 500WCase: Cougar Gaming Panzer MaxThis rig will mainly be use for gaming (Crysis, Battlefield 1, FIFA and others) and some video editing and would like to be able to do so in the highest resolution. I haven't decided on any type of monitor yet, but I'm not planning on buying a 4k LCD. For the time being, I'm also not planning to overclock it or playing with the SLi. If anyone can suggest how to lower the budget but is still able to do the functions that I wanted is highly appreciated. Right now this rig would more or less costs around RM8.5k, I am trying to keep it below RM8k (RM7k if possible) but don't have any idea how I should change it right now. THANKS! QUOTE(TristanX @ Sep 24 2017, 11:37 PM) Such expensive build but low quality power supply. Get better PSU like Corsair CX or better, EVGA Supernova, Super Flower Leadex Gold. If aesthetics or other brand is not a problem, yes, you can reduce it. I see, which power supply do you think is most appropriate for this build? And can please share how I can lower the cost? Cause aesthetics and branding is not my concern, I am simply choosing these based on the reviews that I got online. So any kind of help is highly appreciated.

QUOTE(TristanX @ Sep 24 2017, 11:58 PM) Like this one Core i7-7700K - 1541 Corsair H100i V2 - 583 Gigabyte Z270X Gaming K5 - 899 G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB DDR4-2800 kit (8GBx2) - 627 Zotac GTX 1070 8GB DDR5 AMP! or GTX 1080 8GB DDR5X Mini - 2279/2659 Samsung 960 Evo 500GB M.2 - 1243 Super Flower Leadex Gold 650W - 479 Corsair Spec case - 299 RM7950/8330 total (C-Zone prices) Kindly take note RAM speed increases very little performance for Intel setups. Wow thanks for the suggestion! But I have to ask though, is there any significant difference between the mini and Amp! version of the GPU? I do know that 1080 is the newer version comparing it to the 1070 though.

QUOTE(TristanX @ Sep 25 2017, 12:34 AM) Cooling performance. Smaller heatsink definitely will have higher temps but it also fits smaller casing. Bigger heatsink usually have higher factory overclocks. So in this case the 1070 have a bigger heatsink compared with the 1080 right?
