6years old rig. where u gonna find mobo, either its 2nd hand / from china taobao / refurbish only. get ssd if u want the easiest improvement now. If want upgrade ram then find from garage sales/online for cheap deal.
else state ur budget for new rig.
also this:
Thank for the insight. I didn't realise it is 6 years old 😂, lol. I just thinking if that is possible, apparently it's too old.
I watched the video but that build about 1k USD.
My budget would be RM 2.5 - 3k for desktop & monitor.
r5 3600 - rm800 ASRock b450 k4/pro4 - rm350 Kingston ddr4 3200mhz 16gb - rm370 or dual kit @rm400+ Crucial mx500 512gb - rm310 Hdd - reuse or add if got budget Gpu - zotac 1650 @ rm608. But this is base on ur editing software will use gpu acceleration or not. I not sure bout this area. (1660 seem better) Psu - GIGABYTE P650B 80 PLUS Bronze 650W - rm250 Case - reuse old case or tecware alpha rm160+
Own Thoughts ; Board: if can just go ASRK B450-Pro4 [better VRM controller] R.A.M : hmm single channel will do geh but pricing seems kinda higher and if can add on to grab Corsair Vengeance LPX [8GB*2 CL16 Kit model], cost around 37*-38*
Wow. This is real SFF pc lol. I think you can build a decent build with RM900 if you go for secondhand market. With CPU like that, confirm lag like shit even when watching videos lol Those specs worse than a 10year old rig I have sitting at home, and that PC isn't what I would call smooth
My parent don't like big size desktop.
My dad using asus mini pc vm42 which cost about Rm900 for over 3 or 4 years & still using, no major issue at all. Just for streaming window and wen browsing. below the spec.
Then spend more for a Deskmini or a used NUC then (preferably with a Core i3/i5 chip + SSD on it) I'm actually amazed by the his patience though, especially that chip is on par with the Athlon 64 x2 (or the lowly Core 2 Duo E6540) and the fact that it's paired to a slow mechanical HDD
If that's the case, probably the NUC, due to higher RAM capacity and the inclusion of a proper SSD (which is much faster than eMMC) The CPU is about twice as fast too
My mom budget RM900 only. inb4 cheapskate family maxxxx
The iGPU inside the 12400 might not be fast enough for games (especially with Intel's graphics drivers) Might want to consider going AMD instead (either a 4600G/5600G should be suffice) According to Guru3D, BL3 on 1080p60 demands a RTX2060 at the minimum: https://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/borde...k_review,5.html
So something like a RX6600 (should be around RM1.2-1.3K) should be plenty good for it:
Actually I have Palit GTX750 StormX OC 1GB GDDR5 which I currently playing dota2 with low setting.
