Hi, looking to build a rig only
[B][Budget] 3k or cheapest possible build excluding GPU, reasons below
[Purpose] 4k or 1440p 60fps games at Ultra settings, I believe a 1080 TI (used) or 2080 (new) would do the job, so a build around either of these GPU would be nice. I would probably get the GPU sometime early next year due to budget constraint, but I do need a functioning rig now
[Hardwares that will be re-use] Peripherals
[Monitor resolution] Already have a 4k TV
[Games & softwares that use frequently] Dota 2, aiming to play games like Nier
[Personal preferences] Don't care about looks, so the rig can be ugly if it could lower the cost

QUOTE(TristanX @ Nov 30 2018, 08:56 AM) How about these?
Core i5-8500 - 899 Asus Prime H370-Plus - 449 Kingston 8GB DDR4-2666 X2 - 518 Intel 760P 256GB M.2 PCIE - 329 Seagate or WD 1TB - 179 Corsair TX650M - 379 Corsair Carbide 275R Case - 319
RM3072 total (Viewnet prices)
Looks good, thanks. If I am able to add a bit more to my budget, should I be getting an i7-8700 instead? Or is it an overkill? This post has been edited by cloudlionheart: Nov 30 2018, 09:20 AM

QUOTE(Kristal.S @ Nov 30 2018, 09:21 AM) Yes, it will help increase performance gaming at 2k/4k. It is not overkill. QUOTE(TristanX @ Nov 30 2018, 09:27 AM) i7 is not overkill for high end GPUs. It reduces the bottleneck. Bottleneck shifts to the GPU on higher resolution though. Also, i7-8700 requires a RM150ish cooler. Stock cooler is crap. Alright noted, thank you very much for the help!
