If you don't mind you can get G4560 + B250 mobo and 8GB DDR4. Slight improvement, but new parts.

Personal Pick
Intel G4560 = RM 241
ASROCK B250 Pro4 MOTHERBOARD = RM 420
G.Skill Aegis 2400Mhz 2 X 4GB = RM 289

Total: 950

[Prices are from Lelong@Kool PC search user Cwchoo85]

How far is the performance difference between these 2 cpu, say for normal browsing and playing dota 2 and csgo. I will pair it with r7 360

And the asrock mobo not too overkill? I just need a simple set up and have no plan for fancy set up like sli

Also tq to both of u

i3-7100 will perform better

I understand that..

But how significant is the improvement for my usage and does it justify the extra rn2xx in price?

What i mean is if the improvement is not that much for usage i mentioned earlier it would make sense for me to just get the pentium and save money

Also tq for your input

Lifetime warranty. Just buy and use.

AMD R7 250 and GTX 1030 or higher. Get at least 2GB VRAM just to be on  the safe side.

CPU: Ryzen 5 2400G - RM 629 (Viewnet price)
MOBO: Gigabyte B450M D3H - RM 329 (Viewnet price)
RAM: Klevv Bolt X 8GB 3200MHz - RM 259 (Try finding this at Shopee)
TOTAL = RM 1,217

P/S: If you don't know what Viewnet is. It's a computer shop located on level 3 inside Lowyat. Go pay a visit there. They sell a lof of stuff smile.gif

Thanks for the suggestion

Assuming that i can get ryzen 5 2600 for rm650, is it worth to pay slightly more compared to the 2400g?

Ryzen 5 2400G is a 4 cores, 8 threads CPU with a capable integrated graphics inside (Can play Dota 2 no problem)

Ryzen 5 2600 however is a 6 cores, 12 threads CPU without any integrated graphics. You will need to buy a separate graphics card to output display which means going above your 1.2K budget

TLDR: I suggest sticking with Ryzen 5 2400G since you only play Dota 2 (I'm assuming you play at 1080p here) smile.gif

Sorry i have just realized that i forgot to mention that I have a r7 360 and the other parts to be reused.

In this case, getting the 2600 is definitely the right choice right?

Seagate Barracuda 250GB. If you have RM30 more and M.2 PCIE slot, Adata SX8200 Pro 250GB from Shopee is the best.
Budget isnt great. Not enough for Ryzen 7

Thanks bro, gonna get the Seagate since my MB don't have M2 pcie slot

Hi, i need a recommendation on new or used graphic card to play Apex Legends on mid-high setting at 1080p. Current graphic card can only at low setting at 720p to get decent frame rate. Im thinking of getting a used rx 570 4gb but afraid of getting a mining unit.

My current rig

i5 4440
8gb ram
240gb Seagate ssd
Asus R7 360 oc 2GB
Aigo 500w psu

Budget: as low as possible

Asus GTX 1060 6GB dual is at RM869 from Viewnet. Get it while stock lasts.

How good is this card compared to RX 570 4GB and RX 580 8GB?

Managed to find them for RM750 and RM899 respectively, brand new.

Hi, I'm planning to upgrade my old rig. Pc will be used for some light gaming (DotA2, Valorant, CSGO, Apex legends etc) and internet browsing & movies.
The reason for the upgrade is due to my pc hang/freeze a lot recently, suspecting due to aging parts especially the CPU, Mobo and RAM.

Current spec:
i5 4440
Asrock B85M HDS
8GB+4GB DDR3 RAM
RX570 4GB
500W Power supply
2 SSD 1HDD
ATX case
1080p monitor

I'm planning to get an i3 10100F, 16GB DDR4 RAM and a mobo. Budget would be less than 1k, the lower the better. biggrin.gif
Please recommend me what parts to get and if I should get Ryzen 3 instead?

Thanks in advance notworthy.gif

Make and model of that PSU? hmm.gif

If your machine locks up a lot, you might want to do a SSD health check + RAM test before swapping out parts icon_idea.gif

PSU is cheapo Aigo 500w 80+
Will do the SSD and RAm check but still kinda want to upgrade blush.gif

You must go for a dual channel memory even for Comet Lake, or else performance is going to be impacted quite significantly icon_idea.gif
