I'm looking for a mobo to support current i5 chipsets.
budget ~500 plus minus. of course value for money is the best.
Any shortlist that I could start off from?
thanks!

QUOTE(i7xQTi @ Jun 7 2020, 12:43 AM) there are 3 main ram oems - samsung, hynix and micron Yeah i was just planning to get XPG RGB rams with CL16 3200MHz.of the samsung wafers the b-die is legendary due to how good it oc's, and was a big deal when the first gen ryzen came out because of how hungry it is for fast memory b-die is no longer that big of a deal now, but its still the best. the lowest price was probably back in nov, you could get the teamgroup 8gb rams that are 3600mhz cl16-18 for a mere 180+ but since the covid outbreak theyre heavily overpriced and rare. edit - if your budget is limited, dont waste money on ram even on ryzen. 3000mhz is good enough, just learn how to use xmp Then use the XMP. The gaming performance is negligible on the newer Ryzen right. |

QUOTE(lol4291 @ Jul 8 2020, 03:56 AM) Hi, I was planning on getting a new pc based around Ryzen 5 3600. However, I don't have enough to get both the pc parts and the gpu; I can either get the PC parts and use with my GTX 670 or get GPU to use with my 3570K. Probably highest settings on 1080p will be bottlenecked by your cpu. You can try the king of 1080p rtx2060. Or if you do not stream, 5600xt. For that budget. Else you could get cheaper 1660gtx and 3300x amd proc. Whike saving up for motherboard. So, I've decided to get a GPU first and use with my current system. And later on, get a pc with either 3600 or newer 4000 series cpu. I'll mostly be playing at 1080p. Hopefully at max setting. Max budget for GPU would be RM1500. Can I know what would be the best GPU for my current setup and to use later for newer PC? If it helps, I play Indie games and games like Witcher 3, GTA series. Thanks. EDIT: would i need to change my PSU if I'm getting the suggested GPU? |

QUOTE(LovingYou @ Jul 8 2020, 10:24 AM) Hahaha. Shopee bro. Some items i buy direct from taiwanOk I’ll try look for zotac and the ram. Normally you just buy parts from shopee / Lazada? Any other ? A bit of gamble but i am experienced custom pc builder. Hahaha... Lazada shipping sucks. And buyer protection also lousy. Shopee best but still i always filter out idealtech because their price i rather buy from my local shop. What after sales you need? Haha |

QUOTE(KaLs @ Jul 8 2020, 09:36 PM) IDK if moderator is not doing anything for PC hobbyist or maybe elitist (if there's such thing) to make biased comment and organization hitting back. Newbie asking for question will be answered in a biased way and end up not getting the advise they should be. why is it biased whereby the price is really ridiculous?DEAD LOWYAT HOORAY You willing to let your PC masterrace brothers spend extra for nothing? This is not what this forums are for. You do open business, we do open comparison. Are you so blind as not to check the prices on Shopee? |
