Hi Guys, need you all input on this since my last time setup my gaming PC 1 year ago.

[Budget] RM3k ( May suggest beyond by few hundred if its justified )

[Purpose] Weekend usage only. Surfing and light gaming.

[Hardwares that will be re-use] Monitor, keyboard, mouse, 2 additional HDD and speaker.

[Monitor resolution] 1080p

[Games & softwares that use frequently] Dragon Age Inquisition, Final Fantasy series, FM2018, Trails of Cold Steel

[Personal preferences]

Prefer small, light and quiet casing now.

Prefer graphic card performance better than my existing Nvidia 670.

Prefer additional SSD drive.

There is a flaw there. Casing too small for the motherboard. Change it to Tecware Edge at same price. Power supply switch to Corsair VS 450W. Fits the budget now.

Yeah, Core i5 not recommended due to no budget motherboard.

How is the performance between 1050ti and 1060? Is 1050Ti sufficient for those games like Final Fantasy, Total War etc???

Hi, my pc is officially dead now. Later morning will get the rig.

Now the plan is to reuse whatever i have now. Graphic card is agp. So i dont think i can reuse it anymore. Kindly advised the following spec

Cpu
Motherboard
Power supply
Casing
Ram
Graphic card

Majority use for mild gaming like final fantasy game or total war or tomb raider. Budget is at most 3k. Lower the better. Prefer small and compact case

How about these?

AMD Ryzen 5 1400 (go for 1600 if you can fork out RM200 more) - 819
Gigabyte AB350N Gaming Wifi - 529
Kingston 8GB DDR4-2400 - 395
Zotac GTX 1050 Ti 4GB DDR5 Mini - 719
Corsair VS 450W - 184
Silverstone SG13B (from lelong and lazada) or Fractal Design Node 304 case - 239/369

RM2885/3015 total (C-Zone prices)

Thanks for your help. I managed to purchase the rig yesterday but due to some availability issue. I end up purchasing the following.

AMD Ryzen 5 1400 (go for 1600 if you can fork out RM200 more) - 819 ( Going for Ryzen 3 as 4 core 8 thread is sufficient for my needs )
Gigabyte AB350N Gaming Wifi - 529 ( Change to MSI Bazooka due to no availability for MITX casing )
Kingston 8GB DDR4-2400 - 395 ( Getting AMD Ryzen RAM dual channel 4GB x2 instead, it still up gradable as motherboard has 4 slots of RAM. )
Zotac GTX 1050 Ti 4GB DDR5 Mini - 719 ( Getting Zotac 1050 Ti with dual fan + AMP version with just RM50 topped up ).
Corsair VS 450W - 184 ( This is the worst purchase so far... Got Corsair 650W Gold instead. Will swap with my other rig which have 1070 graphic that only have Corsair 500W Silver )
Silverstone SG13B (from lelong and lazada) or Fractal Design Node 304 case - 239/369. ( Not available, bought the Cooler Master 3.1 casing instead. Nice case but limited putting my 5 HDD... only managed to slot in 3.... )

Budget: 9k to 10k

Purpose: 144P Gaming + Minor Video Editing

Hardwares that will be re-use
34inch Xiaomi Ultra Wide Monitor, 25inch U2515 Dell monitor.

Game
Cyberpunk, JRPG, Total War series, Assassin Creed, Red Dead Redemption 2

Preferences
Prefer to have future proof rig as I will only change the rig after 6-7 years.
13th Gen Intel processor
Prefer to have Lianli Lancool iii (because I like the design)
Can't really decide which one to go for 3080, 3080Ti or 3090 if budget is allowed. Give up 4080 as the estimated price will be almost double the price of 3080 and my resolution is just 1440P.
Aircool CPU preferable as I don't have to worry water leaking problem on AIO.

Thanks for the help!

Try

Core i7-13700K - 1999 (estimated)
Deepcool Assassin III - 319 (double check for LGA1700 mounting)
Asus TUF Z690-Plus Wifi - 1149
Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB DDR4-3600 kit - 539
PNY RTX 3080 12GB Revel Epic-X - 3149
Kingston KC3000 2TB - 935
Corsair RM 850W - 619
Lian Li Lancool III RGB case - 589

RM9298 total (Shopee prices)

RTX 3080 Ti at around RM4k if you wanna push even more. Also, reviews are out. Raptor Lake CPUs are hot. I would advise getting 420mm AIO instead.

Any recommended AIO, I'm totally new at this AIO thingy as I always use fan cpu cooler all the time.

Hi, I have one question, will there be any significant improvement between air cool and AIO cooler on 13700K? I'm using Dark Rock Pro 4 now, and looking into whether I really need to change to AIO cooler in order to improve the overall temperature.

And I don't think by adding extra fans will help out the overall temp because the heatpoint are in the processor itself. not the case.
