QUOTE(terence_nwb @ May 17 2017, 08:17 PM) Superflower Leadex Gold (seems to be OOS too for most of the retail shops), CM V series (not VS), Corsair RM series etc. If you go for Ryzen path, you will need to get a super low end GPU for display because it doesn't have any integrated GPU, even the basic one, this will increase the total cost and over your budget (cheapest Ryzen 5 1400 + cheapest A320 mobo + cheapest GT710 = RM 100+ more than Intel build). Intel Core i5 7400 - RM 773 Gigabyte B250M-D3H - RM 419 G.SKill Aegis 8GB DDR4 2133MHz RAM - RM 275 WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 219 FSP Hexa+ 550W - RM 210 Tecware Edge - RM 149 Dell S2218H IPS - RM 589 Total: RM 2634 (ETECH price inclusive of GST) Included an entry level 550W PSU so you can upgrade your GPU in the future without having to upgrade the PSU as well. Hi. Thanks for the reply. Didn't know there is no build in graphic for AMD series. If I want to add a graphic card, what would be the full spec list. Maybe I can consider to top up little bit for the Ryzen build. From the review and discussion here, itseems like Ryzen 5 is better compared to i5.

QUOTE(christina1 @ May 18 2017, 06:13 PM) I'm taking a risk by upgrading the RAM if it does not improve the pc performance. To upgrade the desktop pc to Ryzen 1600 which a lot of ppl has suggested it will take me almost 2k.. It's better save some money and upgrade to Ryzen 1600 and for the next 3 years won't have any issues on slowness for desktop pc . I don't whether you are trolling or not. They already clearly mentioned up there to upgrade the RAM first to see the outcome. I don't know whats the risk involved here. Just a RAM upgrade. I was using old E series rig before with 2GB RAM. Had some issues with softwares. Couldn't even run AI & Photoshop. Wanted to get new PC but I bought 2nd hand 2GB RAM first to see whether the improvement. Surprisingly I could run AI & Photoshop now. Just that I couldn't do any big size artwork but Im fine with that. Of course for long term I need new rig but for the moment my current rig serving well.

Hi guys. I was in the midst of getting new rig. So far already purchased few items especially mobo. Was planning to choose Intel. Recently saw news that Coffeelake processors will be launched by this year. So the question is, should I just get the G4560 first and then wait for the Coffeelake to be launched. Current i7 7700 really kinda expensive when compared to Ryzen. If not because of mobo i would have gone to the Ryzen path.

QUOTE(TristanX @ Jul 22 2017, 09:58 PM) Its unlikely Coffeelake going to come cheap. Knowing Intel, it might be more expensive than Ryzen 5 1600. If it hits Ryzen 7 1700 price point, you know what to buy. Price is not confirmed. Option 1: Sell off your motherboard and buy Ryzen setup. End of dilemma Option 2: Buy G4560 and wish the price isn't too high for 6 core Coffeelake. Thanks for the opinion. Will think about it. Really confused and yeah Intel's price won't be cheap as well.

QUOTE(TristanX @ Aug 28 2017, 08:46 PM) Yes but check your motherboard memory support list (QVL) before buying it. I think Intel boards won't have issue though. Thanks noted.

Hi. Need opinion between this 2 PSU :
Evga G3 650W Superflower Gold 650W
Both almost similar price. Which one is better option. Looking to get PSU for these spec :
G4560 2 x 1tb HDD 1 x SSD GTX 1050Ti
Is that PSU too much for that spec or should just get any other lower version or cheaper version. Thanks.

QUOTE(TristanX @ Sep 15 2017, 09:11 AM) EVGA OEM is Super Flower on most of the models. Both are top quality. If you have no plans to go high end graphic cards, 550W is still plentiful. So far no plan going into any high end GPU. Should i just get Super Flower Silver instead of Gold?
