Switch the CPU to Ryzen 5 1600 and MSI A320M PRO-VD.  It has additional 2 core for better multi emulations. Any mainstream Intel today except Pentium G4560 is not worth it. RAM prices are going up. You might wanna buy that first if price didn't change yet.

oh okok thanks..but the price difference is big? nvr really used amd before..

Don't know about the prices at your place

AMD Ryzen 5 1600 - 990
MSI A320M PRO-VD - 295

If you wanna overclock, you have to switch to B350 based motherboard.
*
So, if i take as below should be ok? just change the 2 will be ok?

Amd Ryzen 5 1600
MSI B350 (for overclocking)
Asus Gtx1050ti expandition 4gb ddr5 dual fan
PNY 128GB SSD
GEIL 2400MHZ 8GB DDR4 RAM

hi all sifus,

Just a quick check on below components before getting my new rig. Is all ok as per stated below?

Price quoted was ard RM 3.9k without casing. Consider ok or not?

Mainly used for normal gaming and multi emulations task.

AMD Ryzen 5 1600
MSI B350 Gaming Pro Carbon
Corsair Vengeance RGB 16GB (8GB x 2) 3000MHz DDR4
MSI Geforce GTX 1050 TI 4G OC
Kingston SSD UV400 240GB
ThermalTake TR2 600W

Casing - either NZXT or Fractal Design (both will need to top up)

Can it run games on 1080p? Need all advise on this.

FYI, this shop sells mostly MSI brand only. If others might need to order.

Thanks.

why don't swap the mobo to MSI b350 tomahawk as the b350 gaming pro carbon only give you bling-bling led lights as decoration

& swap the corsair ram to Kingston ddr4 2400mhz will do..
*
saw b350 tomahawk review seems like not too good? anyway will try to ask the shop on this..

Not bad. Super Flower Leadex Gold 650W will steamroll that PSU. Don't expect to max settings on some games at 1080p for GTX 1050 Ti.

Kingston UV 400 is at the bottom tier for the performance. You might wanna topup for Samsung 850 Evo. Prices of low budget SSD got too close.
*
not sure if they have this power supply in their shop, but will check with them. Understood that for 1050ti some games might not be maxed but mostly for multi emulator gaming only and occasionally dota 2..so i guess 1050ti should be ok for now..will check with them how much 850 evo cost..btw m2 ssd better?

Based on your quoted price, i will choose the other model of B350 motherboard under MSI and is cheaper and use the difference to change your CPU to the AMD Ryzen 1600X and also the GPU to at least GTX1060.
One item that you can downgrade is your RAM, use a 8GB (4GBX2).

AFAIK GPU is the main component to determine your playability of 1080p games. You don't need to spend much in the casing.

Anyway this is just a thought only smile.gif

which MSI b350 mobo? for the cpu, 1600x doesnt come with stock cooler hence might need to buy cooler which add up to my current budget.. for the ram wise, since i'll be using multi emulators hence i guess 8 gb not that enough to multitask other..mayb im wrong..
