Hi all sifu here, thinking to buy a new desktop pc purposely for office usage. It's just used to run softwares like Microsoft Office, online... as long as just for basic usage. If my budget is RM1.5k, please build me the spec, excluding mouse, keyboard, speaker, monitor. Prefer Intel cpu. Of course, the lowest cost, the better!!!

All major retailers have Ryzen 5 in stock already.

AMD Ryzen 5 1600 - RM 1039 SRP
AMD Ryzen 5 1400 - RM 819 SRP

AMD Ryzen 5 1600X and 1500X will arrive later.

Yep, look for previous generation chipset like H110/B150/H170.

But i5 4460 is running on LGA1150 socket so you cannot fit it on a LGA1151 mobo.

It is supported as long as the mobo comes with PCIe 3.0 x16 slot (2.0 is ok too) and yes your mobo does come with PCIe 3.0 x16 slot so you can upgrade to any modern GPU in the market now without changing your existing mobo.

Getting GTX 1050 will significantly consume less power and more performance than GTX470. Should be around RM600 for it, Ti version is more powerful but it is RM100 more too.

RAM should still last for the rig. Adding ssd definitely will improve Windows experience and it will cost around 250-300 for 120GB.

Touching the CPU will involve motherboard and RAM. If there is no performance issues, I suggest you stick with it.

It's up to your own personal preferences, they are equally good in my opinion, just get the one that you like the most in terms of design, card cooling performance as well as pricing etc.

The CPU comes with Intel HSF which is enough for non-overclocking build (unless bad temperature).

The case that I've recommended comes with 3 casing fans (2 front & 1 rear), should be enough for now, you can add more if needed.

Windows 10 Home OEM costs around RM 200+ (RM 500+ for retail version), if you want to save money, go to Garage Sales or lelong/mudah.my and hunt for cheap genuine key (beware of counterfeit key though).
ITX board for AMD Ryzen platform is not available yet (unreleased).

All the items listed by you are compatible with each other.

DDR4 only: Yes.

Max frequency 2400MHz: Not entirely, stock speed is 2400MHz (min achievable speed), some higher end Ryzen CPU do support 2666MHz natively, but RAM overclocking on Ryzen is still lagging behind Intel's capability.

Ryzen officially support DDR4 2133, 2400 and 2666, higher than that need oc, and it is depend on your motherboard and ram quality.
