Here, examples. Branded are more expensive.
https://www.lelong.com.my/catalog/all/list?...SB+%203.0%20PCI

Kindly take note your motherboard must have one free PCI Express X1 slot or PCIE x1 and a connector from the power supply if you wanna buy it. Ignore the PCIE x2 or x4 cards.

Thanks for the advice. Will take a look into it.

Yes that will be slightly better than the stock fans I supposed so you can get the pack of 4, use 2 at the front, 1 rear, and 1 side. If you're looking to save some money, try to look for a pack of 2 or something and just mount them at the front and keep the rear stock fan.

No not at all. Those aren't worth the money for your situation as they are mainly catered for higher end rigs. Just stick with some cheap case fans that will help the airflow a tad bit. smile.gif

Thanks guys. I wouldn’t be able to build this in a short time without your words.

hey, just wanna asked, i've already purchased a rig from E Tech without Cooler , my question is, would it bring some harm to my PC(what i'm worry of is that the cpu & its neighboring components would get heated for longer in the long run)?? unsure.gif

i know it's stupid, but since i've already made my purchase, i think i will only get a better cooler by next year. hmm.gif

i'm talking about after market cooler.

but then again, some folks complained that stock cooler sucks, so yeah... sweat.gif

i admit, i was too rash in buying a new rig no particularly thanks to sst, which is why i based off my rig with a recommendation here not too long ago by Kristal.S. It suits my preferences(in terms of GPU/CPU selections) and it's within my range of budget, i immediately gave them (E Tech) the specs and forgotten the cooler after that doh.gif

Those SSDs with no DRAM cache are just faster than hard disk. Nothing special. Crucial MX500 has the best price/performance at the moment.

I hope i posted dis on a right place..
Ok so my current rig is as stated in my sig..

2500k already came to the end of its era..
And i plan to upgrade..

Recently i got an offer of used mobo and processor
Asus z170 deluxe + delided i7 7700k

Alternatively to that, with around the same price as that
Im able to get a brand new aorus ultra gaming 2.0 + i3 8350k

1.between those two.. which are the better option
2. If my budget is around 2k (also need a new set of ram) what could you recommend ?

I plan to overclock.. and i plan to buy a better graphic card
*
I failed to get that z170+7700k
However.. I bought an 8th gen set
Attached Image
Waiting for 8600k to arrive.. hopefully today..

Ive few more extra bucks to spare..
Should i get an optane? Why?

My current storage as below:
Wd green 500gb
Wd blue 500gb
Galax 120l ssd

Will optane improve my rig?
Tbh i dont really understand optane
Did some digging ofc (i hate spoonfeed as well)
Some said it just accelerate primary hdh
Some said it will improve overall hdd repondsiveness

So hmm?

Yup, Optane caches your selected disk for most frequently used files. My experience with Optane 32GB + WD Black 500GB 2.5" is great

If you use SSD as OS drive, then you only get performance boost when you access your hard disk more often.
