No worries! smile.gif

You could also ditch the cpu cooler if you don’t care about aesthetics and use the extra money and go for a GTX 1080. wink.gif

The CPU comes with a stock cooler right?

Yeap it does but.. Intel stock cooler is horribly ugly (for me at least). Hahaha.

Hello all,

I just want to have some advice. I have just finished my study in UK and will be back to Malaysia for good in the next few weeks. However, I have a dilemma as I'm not sure if I should bring my desktop back or should I sell the desktop here and build a new one in Malaysia.

Here's my current specs:

CPU: INTEL CORE I7-6700k
COOLER: ID COOLING FROSTFLOW 120
MOBO: ASUS Z170-K
RAM: HYPER X 8GB x2
GPU: ZOTAC OMEGA AMP 980Ti
SSD: Kingston 250GB SS
HDD: SEAGATE 3.5' BARRACUDA 1TB
PSU: SEASONIC S12II 620W
CASE: AEROCOOL AERO 500 WINDOW

Do you guys recommend me to upgrade the part or suggest me equivalent parts with my current specs?

I know it's over your 6.5k budget but you could ask for some discount from E Tech and I believe they're able to do so. wink.gif

Ryzen has 8 cores, i7 has 6. i7 is better for gaming. Ryzen is better for productivity and game streaming (loves more core).

Thanks! Sorry I edited late asking for both intel & ryzen build. Do you know if the temp will be the same as atx case since both nexus matx and atx have 2 front & 1 rear fan?

If you could sell it for a decent price then you should cause if you bring it back, you'd have to worry about warranty sending them back to the UK in the future too.

Whats your budget if you were to build a new rig here in Malaysia?
*
Actually I bought most of the parts in Malaysia. It's alright, I might go with the recent RM6.5k suggestion in this thread. Is it still viable if I wanna swap to 2k monitor and 1080 GPU from the suggestion? And does the RAM is always pricey nowadays? I still remembered I got it for just rm400 in last 2 years (16GB).

No issue for me on Ryzen 7 2700X and Gigabyte X470 Gaming WIFI.

Kindly take note I was favoring Intel back in the days their CPUs are significantly faster for around the same price or slightly higher.
