Guys, I am using NZXT S340 for my Ryzen rig but the processor runs very hot with the stock wraith prism.

Currently using 120mm NZXT FN V2 x2 for front intake, and 120mm NZXT stock fan on the top and rear for exhaust.

Should I upgrade my case fans or case?

How hot is it? My 3900X with Corsair H115i Pro runs at 39C low idle, 40ish for idle, 79C load with Cinebench R20. 28C is the ambient temperature. Noctua NF-A14 IndustrialPPC-3000 X2 40% Intake, X1 50% Exhaust

Your setup looks like everything goes to the best for the case fans and cpu fans. But I heard 3900x runs much hotter than other chips in Ryzen 3000 series.

My processor fluctuate from 42-50ish when light browsing or office works.

Tested with prime95 or cinebench or unigine benchmark, the highest ever hit is 79, but usually in the area of 72-75.

Any advise on this?

After your reply, thinking of migrate to

Noctua NH-D15
Noctua NF-A14 case fans
and most probably change to Fractal Design Meshify C?

Yeah, thats why I have water cooling.

That looks normal for a stock cooler. NH-D15 definitely will improve it. Ryzen 3000 will boost even more with better cooling. Temperature may not drop. lol

Ryzen 3000 series temperature is as hot as their selling volume.

Unfortunately my case can't fit in the NH-D15, so if going to that option, definitely need to get a case.

Any combination of cpu cooler, case fan, case would be nicely under 1k?

Doesn't want to spend more than that just to cool off the Ryzen bruce.gif

EDIT : Thinking of getting Cooler Master H500P MESH with NH-D15. would it be good combo?

Hello guys, anybody bought Lian Li Lancool II Mesh RGB case? I find out that the three RGB fans included in the case are rather LOUD and non pwm.

Any suggestion for replacement fans? I am thinking of getting Deepcool CF120 Plus 3 in 1 Pack.

Connect the fans to motherboard and let it run on voltage mode. It can emulate PWM.

Thanks TristanX.

I’m using Gigabyte Aorus X570 Elite motherboard which has only two PWM fan header.

Instead of using fan hub, if I using a fan splitter 1 to 3 or 1 to 5 like this would work fine as well right?

Connect my non pwm fans to the splitter and one female head goes to motherboard header. After that, configure in motherboard to voltage control mode.

If it’s drawing too much voltage, feel free to let me know which fan hub is good ya, don’t mind to spend a bit extra for safety concern.

Or SATA powered fan hub is safer?

Get the one with SATA powered. Future proofing and drains less power from motherboard.

Got it! Thanks TristanX! Much appreciated 🙏👍

[B][Budget] below RM5k, the lower the better

[Purpose] 100% office usage. Will be using powerpoint and microsoft word 90% of the time. 10% adobe premiere pro video editing.

[Hardwares that will be re-use] Building second PC, so no item will be reused.

[Monitor resolution] going to buy a dell S2722QC

[Games & softwares that use frequently] no gaming, only microsoft office and some light video editing.

[Personal preferences] Sometime reliable, good cooling for hardware longevity, nothing fancy. SSD is a must. 512gb or 1TB ssd also will do

[Location] Kota Kinabalu,Sabah. Most probably going to buy online

Problem is getting from KK system builder as prices & stock availability may vary. Unless you willing to buy & build yourself.

Myway would able to point you to Dell office PC prebuilds which does ship to East MY.

Thanks babylon. Usually I just order part from online or grab from my nearby store if it's not much difference.

Do you mind to recommend some specs?
