Perf should be around 4060TI and 4070, or approx 5060Ti perf. So taking the cost of B580 vs 5060TI now you can decide if its worth it[OFFICIAL]Rig Suggestion Q&A Thread V13!

QUOTE(westlife @ Aug 11 2025, 10:12 AM) Actually never play game so actually no need dGPU. Can be integrated graphic card using 12400 CPU. Same hardware that I reco to Leo90 above except add on;Fishtank and AIO is meant for cosmetic which I value a lot. So any decent fishtank case with built-in aRGB fans will be good also. I just need a second computer with minimum budget. Not sure how much will it cost though. BE QUIET! Silent Loop 2 360mm AIO Liquid CPU Cooler https://shopee.com.my/BE-QUIET!-Silent-...6300.8967157846 (this version only ARGB on pump, if can wait for Light Loop with ARGB fans too. For AIO I prefer BQ bcoz you can refill the loop once fluid evaporates, which is the main reason for AIOs pump failure) Replace case with Montech XR ARGB fans version https://www.montechpc.com/xr RAMs can use any ARGB version if thats your thing. I prefer TForce Delta (in DDR4 & DDR5) |

RAM one any option i can get for even cheaper price? (noticed that most shops no longer selling much DDR4 ram with no RGB. or the price is even more ex than the RGB one i selected. For RAM do get 2x 16GB as WIN11 is a hog and I bet future WIN12 will be more so. DDR4 is getting more expensive and getting rarer to find as sellers are clearing stocks since it will EOL manufacture this year. Thats why its better spend now and get more than enough than trying to buy more RAM next time. If you wanna build a DDR4 rig, do it now. Otherwise just pay more and go with DDR5 build For PSU, I would stay away from Giga due to bad rep, its not super cheap either just pay a bit more for solid FSP HV Pro 85+ or MSI A650BN both got 650W. I would have adviced against el cheapo AIO but since you change the case to a DANS type case I would still say it depends. If there is no GPU, the stock box cooler is sufficient for that i5 CPU but if you chuck in a GPU later, I would go with a dual tower ie PA120SE or 240mm AIO as more stuff will choke airflow using such a basic cooler. |

QUOTE(westlife @ Aug 11 2025, 05:10 PM) i think i saw wrongly, it stated B760M-E? You should expect similar to this (12400 + that mobo in DDR5 ver)so it is not the one i should buy rite? what should be the price expected for the mobo? ya. if i dun use fish tank case, then i will use the stock fan cooler instead. ![]() Frankly if just for office work that cheaper M-E mobo pun boleh pakai but if doing render/graphics work I would monitor its VRM temps under load. If wanna go thru all that trouble isnt it better to get similar compact case with tempered glass?there is glass panel sold on shopee for the case, i saw some bought it to replace one side of the panel to glass and make it transparent. looks quite nice also. so may consider to have lights for fans. QUOTE(westlife @ Aug 12 2025, 01:16 PM) Thinking of getting the Lian Li o11 mini v2 also. Your build is getting highly confusing. O11 even in mini form is typical of fishtank case, defo much wider than A3 and those DAN type cases I reco above. But seems like Shopee a lot of online store does not carry it even the Lian Li store on Shopee. The price is cheaper than o11 vision and cheaper. So actually what your going for? Also be mindful smaller dual chamber fishtanks have limited space to hide cables so typically these goes with modular PSU, which those in your selection is not. So it will be huge effort to try hide those molex & sata cables not used. O11 type has been copied to death so theres plenty of clones from cheap to expensive, you just got to search case maker websites ie Jonsbo, Tecware, Montech Then if you go with fishtank are you still sticking to intel stock cooler? Will look ugly tho. |

QUOTE(westlife @ Aug 13 2025, 09:58 AM) actually this is the issue i faced now also. Your decision is too uncertain to give a reco. You might want to ask again once your have rough idea what you want and prolly how much budget money.after researching all the cases, notice that A3 and Mini v2 price is actually quite similar, initially wanted to save cost by going A3 becos it is not fish tank type case so internal parts will not be seen. but since mini v2 price is so similar, which is also my favourite type case, it makes me in a dilemma that whether i should just go for mini v2. and also after watching a lot of reviews on youtube, notice also that lian li has a new budget case that comes with integrated argb fans, although it seems like it is not available in bolehland yet. https://lian-li.com/product/vector-v100/ also a lot of youtubers also comment that nowadays ddr4 ram actually increases than drops price. so 12th gen processor + ddr4, the cp value actually drops compared to before. and still using 12th to 14th gen processor, it means that it is limited to old mobo also. especially if ddr4 version, meaning in future, if want to upgrade, may need to pay more for eol or limited stocks parts also. so come to think, whether i should just go for 15th gen processor and new mobo and ddr5 for more future proof is a qns also. If low ball budget, better not go with branded cases like Lianli. Theres other cheaper brand models ie Tecware VXN that comes with ARGB fans so no need pay extras https://www.lazada.com.my/products/tecware-...5442822948.html https://www.lazada.com.my/products/tecware-...6131221711.html Or really cheap with fixed RGB fans https://www.lazada.com.my/products/pdp-i452...5570317409.html Theres no issue for 12th Gen (or 13400 or 14400) longevity for just office productivity use. Mobo theres also DDR5 option if your that concerned. Going with cheaper case can give you more money to up for DDR5 build. Good luck! |

QUOTE(westlife @ Aug 14 2025, 10:51 AM) after much consideration, now thinking maybe i can up my budget with the following specs. Imho kinda unbalanced, but if your buying from Idealtech heres my recoI already have this O11D EVO RGB Automobili Lamborghini Edition case https://lian-li.com/product/o11dergbl/ by adding this essential components. plus sourcing for more value for money ARGB fans i think it can form a decent built. CPU - same Mobo - same RAM - same PSU - Corsair RM750e is cheaper but FSP Hydro GT Pro 850W is bigger for just Rm20 more (overpriced Edge PSU just gimmick for easier installation) SSD - change out that pisspoor DRAMless QLC trash for either Team G70 Pro or KC3000 (pay a bit more from above PSU savings) CPU cooler - Yes need. Ksku CPU no box cooler. DeepCool LT720 360 AIO FWIW office productivity use no need for Ksku, but I saw it was on promo cheaper than nonK so yeah go with the Ksku CPU as long still got that promo. QUOTE(westlife @ Aug 14 2025, 03:24 PM) the revised hardware list: If not using Ksku CPU no need to go with Z mobo, waste of money coz cannot OC that CPU. Try B860 to save moneybut the Deepcool AIO not sure if there is white colour variant? seems like idealtech does not have it. of course i do not plan to buy from idealtech so will search from shopee mall instead. besides, seems like deepcool does not sell ARGB fans? the revised list lacks of the ARGB fans. https://shopee.com.my/product/59277182/28073659059 Cheapest so-so brand white fans with normal & reverse vers, and plus uni fan clip on style, and plus infinity mirror hub and sides. Apa lagi mau? https://shopee.com.my/product/255368439/23792523521 Dont expect quality tho, if spoil just throw and replace. Slightly better quality brand is Thermalright but dunno if they have clip on style type fans. For white AIO get this if want with ARGB fans too (LT360 is newer gen than LT720) https://shopee.com.my/DEEPCOOL-LT360-ARGB-B...795.44302418401 Keep the fans if your gonna mount it on topside of case, you wont notice it anyhow that its different than your case fans. |

QUOTE(westlife @ Aug 14 2025, 05:41 PM) thanks bro for the recommendation. have better idea of the remaining parts to complete my rig now. Up to you. Its just an office PC. My parents are still using 15 years old 1st gen Core i5 PC for office stuff and will continue use until mobo or CPU dies.besides, after relooking into the spec of the CPU. seems like the following has very high CP value rite? although it requires Z890 board, the price per core is cheaper, and i am sure it will be super future proof? which is also in my initial selection list. QUOTE(westlife @ Aug 15 2025, 11:49 AM) deciding case, fans and AIO now only. Idealtech only charges that RM 210 for doing the assembly (buy from shopee you DIY), testing makes sure everything works, and one stop handling for any warranty (buy from shopee you deal with each seller, if they close shop you deal with distro). RM 200 nowadays can buy what?case - i have the lamborgini case, not sure if i want to use it, or go with another new lian li case. considering vision compact or mini v2 (maybe a bit too small for ATX mobo when assemble parts although it supports it) note: just use the ideal tech diy website to select parts as list, will buy individual components from shopee, which likely the price will be cheaper. idealtech price for the listed components is rm4585. shopee CPU + mobo = rm2974 ram = rm453.05 PSU 850w - 574.12 (selected) 1000w - 639.57 SSD - rm373.15 total: rm4374.32 (cheaper by rm210.68 comparing to the price quoted on ideal tech website) for the same components. to be fair, ideal tech price considered not too bad which only higher by a bit. Imho if you contact them asking reco for white AIO & white fans Im sure they can provide into the build. But likely will boost the price very close to RM 5k and thats without a dGPU. QUOTE(westlife @ Aug 18 2025, 01:56 PM) I believe it will continue to come down but its likely they will phase out of market just b4 5070Ti Super launches then the pricing will go back up to RM 4.5k again for the super. You would need to have superb timing to get the lowest sold price plus best deal with just enuff stock to choose (like all the stars must align) otherwise once you missed, then its gone.
