Current rig:

I5 3450
B75M D3V
12GB Ram
GTX1060 3GB
Lousy CM Elite case..
500W FSP Hexa

Whats the cheapest PSU and motherboard that I can get to run GTX1060 SLI. I got a spare GTX1060 6GB though, will it run well with the 3GB version?

This is purely for bitcoin mining via nice hash.
*
I remember only 6GB version supports SLI

Bitcoin mining doesn't require GPU to run in SLI/CF mode, they all can run in solo mode and your mobo is able to support 2 GPU (first one will use PCIe x16 slot, another one will use PCIe x1 slot).

So what basically you need to change is PSU biggrin.gif

Price is much cheaper if using Intel G456, but whether it worth in the long run up to 5 years?
Currently I still using my Acer Aspire 5741G, it's been more than 5 years =X

5 years? Not with this budget. DOTA 2 should be able to squeeze in though

AMD Ryzen 5 1400 - 819
MSI A320M Grenade - 335
Corsair 8GB DDR4-2133 - 260
Gigabyte GTX 1050 2GB DDR5 - 579
WD Blue or Seagate 1tB - 212
Corsair VS 450W - 184
Tecware F3 case - 124

RM2513 total

Maybe squeeze another RM300 for Ryzen 5 1600 and B350M motherboard.

Nothing to change. That's the best you can get. I suggest getting 8GB version of RX 580 though. Games already hitting 4GB.

Huh. I have never heard of that 6GB can do SLI too. At least my 1060 6GB doesn't have the SLI connector.

GTX1060 cannot do SLI at all, even with the 6GB, that's why I mentioned to run them in solo mode and go for a PSU upgrade only.

That's a shame, I consider SSD essential. Thank you for the suggestion.
