QUOTE(jackpop @ May 31 2017, 11:29 PM)
now dilemma in choosing GTX 1060 or GTX 1070. Preferable Asus or Zotac. Any problems with Zotac card ?

My PC is connected to TV (Full HD TV) as I don't have monitor. Game that I would like to play are like Call Of Duty, Need For Speed, Forza, Batman Arkham Knight, Battlefield. Oh ya, using i7700K with Corsair 16GB 3200mhz RAM

Still using old Power Supply CM Silent Pro 700W. Connector which connect to PSU is only 6 pins while the other end is 2 x 6+2-Pin

Please give some comments.

Thanks.

I would pick GTX 1070 at around RM1750-1800. You can still find this price at Garage Sales.

is getting intel i7 7700 now worth it?
*
If you have LGA1151 mobo already then yeah, it might be still cheaper than getting a full AM4 platform.

Single threaded operation is still much faster on the i7 7700 compared to Ryzen, if your frequently used apps are mainly single threaded then i7 7700 will benefit you more.

Yes, recommended PSU for GTX 1070 is 500W. Yours is more than enough.

Buy the cheapest. Cooling and factory overclock is the difference.

It's currently hard to find in US, Europe and UK due to bitcoin miners buying them in bulk, on lelong pretty much all sellers sold out. Is this the case with stores at lowyat?

Palit, Zotac, MSI and Gigabyte lower end variant like Palit StormX/Dual series, Zotac Dual/Mini series, MSI Tiger series and Gigabyte Windforce series.

In AMD context, GTX460 is almost on par with R7 260, 50% slower than R9 280, 60% slower than R9 290, 70% slower than the latest RX580.

Whats the cheapest PSU and motherboard that I can get to run GTX1060 SLI. I got a spare GTX1060 6GB though, will it run well with the 3GB version?

This is purely for bitcoin mining via nice hash.
