servicing just prepare about RM100-150 depending on oil chosen and whether or not oil filter needs to be changed.

chain n sprocket cheapest found is rm350/set

tire cheapest foundĀ  is rm400/set

full tank of fuel (rm30 thereabouts with current prices) can get u about 300+km if u ride conservatively, 250km if ur twisting the throttle all the time

major service....valve clearance every 40k km... but this one, no real need so far, bought my bike used at 42k km for RM12k.. and ive had 10k km with it n no valve clearance done. still running like a charm. no weird behaviour etc. valve clearance i heard is about RM7xx or something.

spark plugs and air filter are different costs and im not sure coz havent done it...planning to soon though just for the sake of knowing their condition even though no issues now.
on a side note, if maintenance costs is a concern, the bigger the bike, the more expensive things and running costs will be.

the more the cylinders, the more the engine oil needed, the more it will cost.

get CB400 MY plate and a lot of spare parts.

Second hand CB400s are outrageously expensive for what they are. Otherwise a nice commuter bike.

Got new but more rare than a girl with 3 tits. If you're damn lucky, you might be able to find a new one. But would you pay RM45-50k for new 400cc UJM..?

Legit Msia-reg second hand ones are a bit easier to find... but, again, would you pay RM35k for a 10-years old used 400cc UJM?

Non-legit used ones are more realistic at around RM10k... but non-legit lah (SG or Thai plates). Why bother?

Parts come out of Singapore.

Sorry... but for the CB400's ridiculous asking price, you're far better off buying a new 600cc bike here. Less headaches.

I hv owned a 400cc bike before. I'd love to get my hands on a SuperFour to get my GF to learn to ride coz of the low seat height... but the used prices are stupidly insane, I might as well get a used BMW f800r (which I can also whack now and then) if not a cheap used Vulcan.

I think no one should buy second hand bike.
There is no difference between the price of second hand bike and the new one.

and matainance cost of second hand bike is more than the new one.
there are lots of problems with the second hand bikes.

Its my personal experience. So , try to avoid buying second hand bikes.

completely disagree.

price new vs used? huge difference to me... my Z250 was bought used at RM10k less than brand new.. thats quite a huge difference....alot of other bikes oso can have huge differences.

ive had a number of vehicles in my life...most are 2nd hand.. only my 2 modenas kapchais are brand new.... and the 2 modenas kapchais are the ones that gives the most problems with multiple overhauls.... while my used bikes and cars never gave me any problems.

my used z250 maintenance? like normal...servicing, replace sprocket and chains, tires....which is the same as buying a brand new bike.
