I had this problem but mine was due to tilt sensor as my garage is uneven. So i switch off sensor when i get of of the car. My friends car sometimes wheels not straitened when switching off also alarm sound coz car uneven.

Hello Fellow Owners,

Its raining heavily now and the car alarm is going off few times already. At first I thought this must be the ultrasonic sensor just like what the SA told me. So I went to my car and switch it off. Also I noticed that the tilt sensor was blinking too. Felt weird but I pressed to turn it on anyways. As I was walking back to the house, alarm goes off again. So I thought "What the hell?" I went back to check and noticed that the tilt sensor is blinking again. I disabled both alarms...so far its not making any noise now...Looks the tilt sensor is the culprit. I admit that the drive way is slightly uneven as my house area is slight hilly. But why the tilt sensor went of while raining heavily is still quite weird?
Anyone notice having the same issue?
Alarms too sensitive maybe?

Hi buddy, I had two issues.

1. Tilt sensor memang super sensitive. Sometimes it also sound if I don't straighten the wheels. It will trigger if parking area uneven like my garage so I always switch it off.

2. Sonic sensor also super sensitive. Can even trigger by my friend's big chopper bike starting next to it. I think thunderstorm or loud fire cracker triggering it goes without saying. This problem common even with Toyota.

Previously I checked with SA. Nothing much can do coz new problem, wanted me to leave car for three days I said forget about it. I remembered my friend's Vios was in out so many times until she scared to use alarm and lock with key.

Anyway, I just switch off tilt sensor when park in garage. Other times I leave it on when outside. So far either no issue or it or it rang and then auto off by itself.

Did you know the Civic already comes with Agile Handling Assist which is similar to Mazda's G torque vectoring?

Malaysian Civics only has VSA (traction control) i don't think we have AHAS for local assembly Honda. I feel Mazda wins hands down on this particular area.

I still love my Civic though biggrin.gif

i don't see any reason why not...
its part of the brake mechanism anyway, just like EBD, so technically it should be part of VSA...but whether our ECU is configured to manage that i can't tell... pls post this to bobby and or KN Wong to get answer from HM? lol

anyway...compare to mazda, its a brake-controlled vectoring
Mazda is throttle-controlled...
1 pull, 1 push...which 1 better i really have no comment

You are spot on. in overseas models AHAS is configured using the existing VSA mechanism but for some reason we don't get it here. We also don't get other bells and whistles like collision prevention and lane assist for the premium model.

any way to confirm on the AHA?? lol, coz i can't really tell if they enabled or not in real life...not dare to test.....  tongue.gif

all the bells you raised are part of HONDA SENSING...
i remember seeing from Honda US it can be part of optional upgrade, by adding $1000
definitely putting this in for us is more beneficial vs the remote-start... lol...if we talk about safety first...

if HM offer as optional upgrade... i might choose to go for the SENSING instead of pay that extra to go from TC to TC-P

Totally agree. Remort start is there to show off smile.gif and i can do without the crappy gps. But as usual we pay more to get less when it comes to buying cars here. Btw Singapore Premium Civics comes with lanewatch.
