Placed my booking for a 2017 TC-P over the weekend. I got a 5K discount, plus a RM500 tint voucher.

SA was saying that they only have limited number of cars, as apparently Honda is gearing their production to the BR-V and City in March. Don't know if that was sales bullshit or genuine. S

Since I was going to get the car anyway and the discount was decent I booked anyway. Should be getting my car in a week or two I hope. I need to start planning what to do now, pening from seeing all the information in 5 versions.

Congrats on the new ride, bro! V5; Seems like we have a very effective community and that can only be a good thing. smile.gif

Okey i try have a look, the apply seen more easy just plug and play

Android Auto (AA) is just as plug & play once you have it installed on your device. Reading the posts from the guys here, the issue seems to find the correct version for your device on a site like APK mirror since AA isn't officially supported in our country (as ISR pointed out). I use CarPlay most of the time but I've tried AA with the GF's phone. I must say, I'm kinda swayed towards AA for the sole purpose of GoogleMaps. Apple Maps has already directed me to the wrong place on more than one occasion. -.-"

Anyone had their first 10k service ady?
How does the service minder indicator look like.
I always have 'A' at my service screen with oil life of 4200. Does it trigger me with any status button?
My SA told me that the turbo will need service earlier than the engine oil..want to know how the indicator look like..tks
*
There's no indicator for the 10k service per se; except maybe the 10,000km on your odometer. For the "A" service, there will be warnings in your instrument cluster - prompts you every time you start your car and a orange "!". My "A" service was due at close to 8000km, so I did the "A" service and the 10km service together; meaning the 10000km service was done early. Hope that makes sense.

Does anyone know how to actually set the volume for incoming calls over Carplay?

It is ear-splitingly loud in my Civic X. I looked all through the settings on the head unit, tried the ringer volume on my iPhone 6s etc - nothing has worked so far. Anyone got solution?
*
When you receive a call the next time, lower the volume as you normally would with the radio. The car has two separate volumes for calls/ringer as opposed to music. Lower it while you're in a call and it will remain that way. I haven't found a more intuitive way to do it though. Lol

Hi guys,

Would wanna ask if all the Honda Service Centre during the weekend they will ony allowed for normal service and as for special request for them to check problems with the car we have to make appointment in the weekday only? Currently facing some loose noise at the driver side suspecting something loose at the door or the dashboard or smth. Only happen whn i am driving in an uneven road. Would appreciate if all the sifus can suggest me a good service centre in Jalan Ipoh. Thanks
*
Not sure about all SCs, but the one in Glenmarie doesn't do what they call "Checking" on the weekends. Wanted them to have a look at the usual rattling from the driver side dashboard during my service but was told that I would have to come in on a weekday.

I think there's only one on Jalan Ipoh.

Guys, i still couldnt find a way to fix the incoming phone call sound level. It suddenly blows up and ripping my ear apart when it is connected to CarPlay.

Can anyone please help?

No, the solution of lowering the volume during incoming phone call doesnt work as it will also lower down the voice volume.
*
Call you connected phone. Lower the volume from the car and see if that works. If that does't work, turn down the ringer volume on your phone. I had that issue when I first got the car. Managed to turn it down somehow. Its at an acceptable volume now. Can't remember how I did it exactly though. Try the above out and see if it works. I'll experiment a little later and see if I can get you some more specific instructions.

Hi all,

most of you would have gotten your cars for quite some time and have prolly done some miles on it.

wanna ask owners if any have encountered issues after having the car for an extended period?? i.e >10K KM

please note to not include issues which are existing when you took ownership of the car.

example:

i have done almost 10k KM on mine and only problem ive encountered so far (and you can see im nitpicking)

1. moist in the Air-con leading to a mold like smell during initial warm-up
2. wiper making squeaking noises already.
3. driver side door panels starting to feel loose.
*
I've noticed problem 1 lately, problem 2 came around probably around 3 months after I got the car and problem 3 has been there since the 2nd or 3rd week. Lol. Starting to just accept the fact that these are 130k car problems.

I normally press the brake pedal fully, start the engine, release the parking brake and drive off. But I noticed the behavior you listed above if I had started to slightly lift the brake pedal -
still pressed, but not fully pressed.

In those situations, I normally just leave the parking brake engaged, wear my seatbelts properly, and press on the accelerator pedal - the car will automatically disengage the parking brake, and drive off[I] biggrin.gif Of course, I can also just press the brake pedal again, and disengage the parking brake, but sometime I just let the electronics do the job.
*
6 months driving the car and I never knew this. Good info bro.

I find it annoying after a while. Turned it off. Lol. It also tells you verbally to press the brake before disengaging the Parking Brake etc.

Just use EzyPaint - Page 1, Post #3 under Miscellaneous Car Repair Information.
"Please depress the brake pedal, to release the parking brake" laugh.gif
*
Try this, don't fasten your safety belt, when it warns you, lift your butt off the seat. Its a game I used to play. Try to confuse the voice. "Please fasten driver....; lifts butt off seat; silence". A bit more tedious than simply putting on seatbelts but at least a bit more fun.

Nope, it was not at auto mode.

Probably the weather is too hot. Cose the fan was at high speed for almost 20 to 30 mins then I decided to off my car.

Just hope its not a defect in air-cond compressor or something.
*
If it wasn't on auto, then the temp and fan speeds are adjusted separately. Check your fan speed setting. Probably that instead of a fault or anything. smile.gif

It's the radiator fan....
But is this normal? Becose the radiator fan is really really loud... and it last like 20 to 30 mins or more if I set temperature to 18 degree
*
Gotcha.

Erm, I have no idea what that sounds like. -.-" Lol. But, on very hot days, I set the temp to 22 at the lowest. Never been down to the teens. It gets loud la, but after around 5-10 minutes, the cabin is cool enough, so I typically bump it up to my usual 24. This is all on auto though. I guess if it's just loud, there's nothing to worry about. Unless its making strange noises, I wouldn't be worried.

Originally I was filling RON95, but after some of my friends say RON97 is more fuel efficient, I switch to that

However I don't see any difference in terms of Fuel Efficiency though...

Just check back all my receipts, it's RM380 for first 1,100 KM  sad.gif

6-8km/L seems oddly bad. Mine is closer to what the rest of the guys here seem to get. 12-14km/l for most tanks (I reset it every time I fill up, which I also learnt can be done automatically thanks to one of the guys on this forum). Anyhow, if you don't mind me asking, what's the trip distance that gives you 6-8km/L?

Hello guys.

notworthy.gifc

Newbie here in the Low Yatt.net forum. The main reason why i'm here to do research the new civic research and.... i'm sold! rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif Planning to book civic 1.5 tc-p & hoping it arrive before RAYA. I've prep & send required doc to a S.A. Honda 3s in Selayang branch.

I've questions to all of proud civic owners.
Maybe you can give me tips, leads & insights or the most important thing how to milk every single drop from S.A. has to offer. wink.gif

1. $500 booking fees to secure unit to get before raya. Is it normal?
2. S.A. from Selayang branch offered me April discount RM2274 exclusive extras & the figures variables depending of what monthly has to offer. I'm not sure what the extras are. Can any one suggest or recommend S.A. who can offer better icon_idea.gif
3. What are  the freebies i get from them? grin.gif
Thanks in advance guys. Looking forward for the replies cheers.gif
*
Didn't have to pay any booking fees. smile.gif Although I didn't get as good a rebate as some of the guys here. You win some you lose some I guess. Lol.

I have noticed that in the first few hundred kilometres my FC was quite bad, however after 600KM or so the FC improved quite a lot. I get about 11km/l now (~1200km mileage)
*
That could be it as well. Heard a lot of that phenomenon although I didn't experience it myself. Or maybe I was just excessively careful with the right foot when the car was new. Lol.
