Remember the first day i bring my car go tinted , then i have to drive in the car into the shop (indoor) for tint , after i drive in the Headlight automatic turn ON and it flashing to my friend , why i say it flashing my friend? It's because the shop is abit higher so u need to go thru something like a 45 degree bump and at that time ur car front part is tilting up to 45 degree , the head lamp is automatic turn on and it really hurt ppl eyes seriously , i can definitely see my friend face is turning white with my LED light After i go down i just sorry to my friend say that the head lamp automatic turn on , i have no ideal how to switch off , but as there acc guys already know that the feature so he just like take it easy But for those not understand it might really dangerous sometime This post has been edited by chongkiatz: Apr 3 2017, 08:22 AM

QUOTE(bluesky_1985 @ Apr 9 2017, 02:45 PM) Dear Civic owners, Actually the new car need to do coatings or not? If u can afford coating , go for it because it protect ur paint for long run , coating make ur life more easy because u no need reapply every 3 month (depend on the quality of coating too) just like u apply screen protector to your phone , it is a protection If u can't afford those expensive coating , just get good wax such as meguaris or soft99 , apply it every 3 month and stil can get good protection , my honda city after 8 year the front and tail lamp stil not yellowish , paint stil shine well This post has been edited by chongkiatz: Apr 10 2017, 10:43 AM

QUOTE(berann @ Apr 13 2017, 02:56 PM) Noticed recently so many Civic FC on the road.. Sometimes front 1, right 1, further infront another 1... why so many lar... is only 10 months after lunching. No other C segment cars to buy meh? For the price , civic is currently the best car , it fit all that ppl need The most worth car i would say, family sport serdan car, most spacer in C segment , CVT make the ride smooth , expansion is good enough to fetch old ages , not as stiff as mazda 3, the bonnet space is crazy large , feel more high technology compare to competition, so it really fit all serious This post has been edited by chongkiatz: Apr 13 2017, 07:53 PM

QUOTE(isr25 @ May 2 2017, 10:32 AM) You didn't include the engine oil + oil filter for the Turbo which has been decoupled from the normal periodic maintenance. | Car | 10K | 20K | 30K | 40K | 50K | 60K | 70K | Total | | Type | 6 | 12 | 18 | 24 | 30 | 36 | 42 | | | 1.5 | RM250.30 | RM302.03 | RM336.81 | RM468.86 | RM250.30 | RM400.24 | RM250.30 | RM2,258.84 | | 1.8 | RM218.78 | RM270.51 | RM305.29 | RM422.46 | RM218.78 | RM368.72 | RM218.78 | RM2,023.32 |
*Change Oil filter every 20K / 1 Year for both 1.8 & 1.5 engines *1.5 assumes engine oil change & periodic maintenance are concurrent The difference is around RM31.52 only per servicing - and that's for the extra engine oil that's needed for the 1.5 engine... Unless of course you need to change the engine oil often (A & B service) if your driving condition needs it... Bro how u get rm250.30 for 1.5tc? I see from honda website is around rm200++ only include oil , filter and labour

QUOTE(v88 @ May 2 2017, 08:39 PM) Been driving civic for quite a while and first time driving cvt car, and I find that the paddle shifter is unless when pairing with cvt gearbox, basically when u downshifting, it don't slow down your car much like normal auto gearbox, the rpm just hitting high but don't feel the lower gears pulling your car.. I guess it proved that cvt actually don't have gears at all.. I miss my old car's 5AT when doing downshifting.. Cvt vs transmmision , depend how u judge it, for bloody person sure they found the cvt is sux because it doesnt have the feel of gearbox but cvt overall make the car much more smooth and save more fuel, so it stil acceptable for me , if honda can make like bmw 8 gear that smooth then really nice, the bmw 8 gear transmmision is like driving a cvt haha

QUOTE(isr25 @ May 3 2017, 05:34 PM) You need to add the labour price for both periodic maintenance and oil change. Just follow the labour price for 1.8 - it's similar the labour price for 1.5TC lacks for oil change labour, Oooo, if let say i doing together with 10k interval, so i will be save the cost abit?

QUOTE(dinozilla @ May 3 2017, 07:03 PM) save the labour...not the servicing parts/lubricants so if u trash it hard and moving each interval closer to each other...u still pay more on servicing over same period of time vs those with static interval but anything between 7-10 is not a big deal....if u owned one before that have to do every 5... lol Because i normally within 6 month hardly reach 7k milage, i normally 1 month run 1000km only, so if calculate over time, my service for every interval would be same like 1.8, just go every 6 month to service My home to my work place go and back 4km only per day haha

Normally they won give a test drive car to customer , because if it's a test drive car it suppose to be discount and not charge original price This post has been edited by chongkiatz: May 10 2017, 05:18 PM

Actually showroom car will be changed every few week/month depend on SC , those showroom car isn't a test drive car so milage actually stil there , it won't be a big deal and when u get the car make sure everything is in okey condition but not here scratch and there , showroom car stil wrapping with plastic and everything stil in original condition , but some SC do offer customer show room car to be cheaper due to some minor defect , if the car stil in perfect condition , normally they stil selling full price to customer

Actually there is no car is perfect seriously, u guys say proton got no rattle sound here and there, u guys go see how tahan their part compare to honda seriously , they even spend more money to repair those part which will effect their drive without changing those part, while those rattle sound wont effect ur drive just effect ur heart and emotion only
Let say im using the battey kong in 5 month doesnt mean whole malaysia 50k unit civic is facing same problem too, just say it all about ur luck only, even u spend rm4k iphone might have minor problem right? If its big problem, i will be like the note7 which recall and stop production which is happen to volkwagen dry clutch car

QUOTE(W.ROOK @ May 21 2017, 04:24 PM) Right now I'm driving a CVT 2.0 car(Inspira). Curious to know how does this Civic performs at high speed, I mean like 180km/hr and above? The one I have sucks at high speed. Nice at cruising speed but when speeding can hear unpleasant sounds and sometimes the gear selection is kind of lost but luckily the paddle shifters saves the day. By the way sorry if I am late, apparently civic being recalled in the US. I think best is drop by honda and test a drive
