Has anyone experience static shock after driving when getting out of the car and close the door. Getting it quite frequent. Carpet issue (easy to generate static when feet rub against carpet) or Grounding wire issue?

No leh, mine also 1.8s.. I kena when open the door from the inside, getting out and when want to close the door.. touch the outer door panel.. will kena shock.. or sometimes getting out, my shoulder too close the B pillar also kena shock. Not painful, but if frequent can be very annoying.

Plus I fetch my kids, so not sure if will shock them too. It might just be me.. different static charge to the car.. sad.gif hoping to see if other owners get it.

Btw, does those Pivot Raizin grounding cables work? or myth busted, just gimmick ?

this is because the fabric of seat and your cloth contact and rub together produce the static..even a viva also can make blue spark once going out the car and close the door
voltage stablizer no relate with this static..

I think andyshim89 is right on this. Mine has leather seats, so I have no issues with static. My biggest concern on this static electricity is during pumping fuel. Please take care to discharge the static electricity before you pump fuel, and avoid going in and out of the car (may cause static charge buildup) while pumping the fuel.

Nope, don't have the free labor and parts 2 alternate service, only the usual 2 years labor alternate service.

bro mine leather seat TC produce big spark when i touch door panel with bare hand..damn painful..

when refuelling..remember touch any metal to release static before pumping and never go in car before finish pumping to avoid static build up

Hmm, I doubt leather would cause static buildup. I'm more prone to guess that it's actually your shoe sole rubbing against the interior carpet that's causing this static buildup, or even your clothes (shirt and pants are of a synthetic/fabric). I put a PVC coil car mat to prevent this smile.gif

Anyway, touching a finger against your car, or any metal parts to discharge static electricity is a good practise smile.gif

I asked my SA regarding the symbol before and was told that is radio signal symbol, not gps symbol.
Fyi, mine also 1.8s.  nod.gif

that 1 is GPS signal, our HU is come with GPS chip just they dint install GPS APP on it. Honda lock it to prevent us to install any app, if we can install app like Waze then it should be working properly.

Hey guys, has anyone had this before? The steering switch on the left, the one's that's round with an ok button has some noise when pressing it for the first time after letting it rest for a while. It sounds like scrunching plastic.First time you press it in the morning for example, has that sound, then it stops until you take the car out for lunch or a bit later for a mid-morning drive. Wondering if this is claimable. I find it irritating.
