Hi guys. my first thread in Lowyat.net . Just got my z610i Thorus original black for RM1200. basically not much complaint on the phone except below...

-no FM radio
-it is really a fingerprint magnet but if use carefully both fingerprint and scratches can be avaoided no problem as the external surface is quite though
-only gave 64MB M2... a few MP3 than habis already
-no headset... i guess it forces me to get a bluetooth headpiece

at this price for a SE clamshell-completefunction-3G-2MP camera phone i think consider a very good bargain already. so i would say GO AHEAD AND BUY THE PHONE~

I heard that it is free for upto a price and yes it is at normal call rate. How much does it cost to do a 3G upgrade btw? i am using post paid and will get an upgrade soon .

but i guess no point upgrade also because most of my kawan kawan dun have 3G yet... can only play with the video call function to myself .

me new user also, black ori with no protector . you can't really tell the quality of the photos from the phone itself... very yellowish >_<. but if you extract/print it's not bad. anyone can tell me where to buy the protector around PJ/TTDI?

guys anyone know where and how much to get any external cover/crystal protector for this baby? have been carrying a spec cloth around to clean it everytime .

can i have discount also? so far have been using the speaker phone while driving and amazingly it is very clear on both ends. btw can the bluetooth handsfree listen to music also? sorry i am a SE noob

I think 10 sec SMS alert is long enough. but i wonder why they dun copy Samsung or other phones with repeatitive alerts. so that sometime when i return to my phone will know i got SMS or miss calls.

I am using Maxis and seems i can see all the service as well. Try plug in your SIM card into another phone lor. but i think should be the phone problem

THe surface is quite tough unlike the appreance. You will know when you get hold of it. Ofcause dun test by scratching it with coins of knife. . The only thing you need to worry about is fingerprints.

Nope. the only thing it shows is incoming call and SMS number/name, volumn and song title while playing music and alarms/reminders. no colour

You start from the end opposite of the end with the camera. press down one end first than slot the whole cover in. same goes to the back piece. I am able to do it nicely without touching any part of the surface even as a guy.

Mine does... dunno consider as hang or not. basically it restarts itself after a SMS or a call. happen about 4~5 times for the past few months....

guys just found out a cool function on the phone!! we can actually connects to bluetooth on a PC and control the desktop, media player and presentation!. its so cool to move the mouse cursor with the silver round pad~ sorry if it is a n00b discovery.

so far mine is ok but the back crystal casing crack already... well atleast not the phone which is cracked >_<

I think it does...ususally a large file only takes me about less than 5 seconds
