bring it to handphone shop or your ap warranty company and ask them to flash the firmware to generic firmware + apac region. you will get the playnow, not branded to any other firmware then.

really around 1000 only for z610i, k610i, k618i etc (not for k800i and w850 though). but i see the reason for that, as i believe no point to have 10000 sms but it takes 5 minutes just to scroll from first sms to the 10 sms.

when you are in 3g coverage area - the 3g will appear. when you are out of 3g coverage area, the icon will go..

keep switching on and off means 3g coverage in your area is so-so only, boundary!

the best way to find out if it is prob wit ur phone or telco.

go to a place where you are sure the 3g reception is very good. your phone should not have the 3g icon/reception on and off.

it doesnt matter if u start with * first. that will prevent launching of any shortcut if it is set.

haha always happened to my other se phones too. since i rarely use gprs or get any mms too, i disabled it by select invalid internet profiles.

some ap set cant be updated via seus and hence will display the message as you stated, but in reality there is newer firmware.

like bao wen said before, if your comp/seus failed to detect the phone. uninstall seus first. then go to device manager, look for all SE usb driver there (shud be around 6 drivers), uninstall the drivers too.

restart comp. plug in the phone. select phone mode, let it re-detect, and install all the driver there. remove cable. plug in again, select transfer mode this time, let it detect automatically, and re-install all the driver again.

finally, restart comp, install seus, do as the instruction, it will detect the phone as new driver again (or maybe not), if so reinstall all the driver prompted, then seus shud be able to detect the phone now.

some sort of uninstall and reinstall will solve the driver conflict, that cause ur phone undetectable by seus.

you have to plug in your phone first. see both in phone mode and transfer mode. before deletion, you can see if the driver is appropriately installed or not. if the driver is not installed, install it then (search via Internet works). that might solve the SEUS not detecting anything.

anyway, that picture remind me of something. i prefer flip phone with camera module at higher position any time. z610i: camera too close to the hinge, hand/finger will just block the camera sometime/some position.

some AP set cant be updated via SEUS.

that is some minor problem with some SE phone and i have no idea how to fix that, except reflash the firmware. if you got nothing to do, you can try master reset the phone and reset all the settings all over again.
