hi, i just bought a black z610i yesterday. RM860 for comsat ap set. Without the italian service provider sticker and menu items.

just wanna ask few things from fellow forumers....

1) How do I change the shortcuts which are on the lower left and right of the standby screen? I can only find how to change the joystick shortcuts.

2) Would it be OK if i registered for it on the sony ericsson malaysia site, considering its an ap set? Seems like can get some nice downloads if register user and phone there...

3) Im using crystal case. Any recommendations for a screen protector that does not affect the lcd brightness?

Q2> I dun think so that you can register as AP sets are kinda illegal rites?

darn it... i just tried the update service and it says error could not update
now after i close the flip and open back up the screen is black...

Edit: i just tried to update again but it says already got the latest firmware, but i update it anyway and it gave me the same error, firmware is r1JG001... crap...

refer ur answer on Q1, he is asking de left n right button on de top, not de joystick, up, down, left right...ur answer is shortcut for up, down, left, right onli....

er...i oso nt sure hw gonna chnage de top right and left...mayb can sumone answer on it???tq

latest firmware alreayd is r1jg001.. why u need upgrade again ? -.-

I didnt update it since i bought my fone. So i decided to update it, but it gave me error.
Since it didnt work out so i decided to update again but it says i already got the latest firmware. Got it? -.-

mabe it was updated for u when u got ur phone... how old is ur phone?

err.... around 4 months. I remember clearly b4 i update is R1ED001.
Well, i guess something went wrong when i update, since it stopped at 96%. Tmr gonna take it to sony there and ask them...

good idea...i think u better check...i plan to upgrade too, but i dunno wats the bennefits...isit faster o stg? i read some post here it says he prefer the version b4 this...so im a lil sceptical bout it. maybe wana wait a lil longer lo.
