Hi there, AFAIK our network is already shared, just that depends on user to open their share folder and if under the same workgroup , we can have a small network together

QUOTE(calvin @ Mar 2 2007, 11:02 AM) i'll come up with my server box ready for this soon... so for the mean time maybe we can try transferring some shares through netBIOS..heh... ah ic , one thing I want to know, is the speed when going to PenangFon and OPTICS same? What I know is Optics->Optics is very fast, they should be all under a same backbone so I assume they are the same right ? PenangFon has alot of user compare to Optics so more file for us |

PenangFon has alot of user compare to Optics so more file for us it should be slightly slower but at least it would be anytime faster than any http downloads we get off international/local servers... so the main thing now is to get more users in here to get things up and running.. |

I am in. What do you all want to set up?
I am now watching TVUnetwork, you can download tvu player from http://www.penangfon.com/download.html I am watching SCI FI channel everyday. We can let other user know where we download p2p files, so chances of us having the same files are high because local bandwidth is fantastic. Some time I can download from another PenangFON user at 300KB/sec or We can setup our own p2p server, so we can share files. Or we can request them to setup PenangFON/Optics own forums for us to talk. I am sure if we have a lot of user request, they might do it. |

QUOTE(bandwidthsucker @ Mar 20 2007, 04:03 AM) I am in. What do you all want to set up? welcome bandwidthsucker finally we have people coming right in here already we were planning to set up a file sharing system within our networks of MetroFon and PenangFon.. could be using either P2P based or HTTP/FTP or just plain simple netBIOS sharing which is not really recommended...
