At shell, what is RON100 called? Im a bit confused. Want to try the RON100 but they have Vpower (red color, not sure RACING variant or not) for RM2.60/L

If it isn't RON100 why is it so expensive compare to regular RON97?

Yes Cyberjaya has it

So it is not exclusively RON100 (minimum of RON97) but it has some fancy additives. Ok will pump it Saturday

Shell's V Power Racing (Red) is basically their regular VPower Ron 97 (Green) with added addictives. With the added additives, it will still be Ron 97 though Shell claims additional benefits like better performance.
I don't fill up with V Power Racing, rather going for Petron's Ron 100 which cost less than V Power Racing. Ron 100's higher octane is a different level of fuel than any Ron 97 no matter how good one can claim it to be.

Thanks! I will try shell vpower racing first for a few fuel up and see how it goes, then i will change to Petron's RON100 once MCO ends because there isn't any in Cyberjaya

I hope RON100 provides better power or mileage than RON97, since it is priced 51cents/liter higher than RON97... if the benefits are marginal, I'll just revert to RON97 and call it a day

Dude many oversea TV station aldy did independent test to show premium gas don't give u extra milage ( Australia , NZ , US ) . Cleaning engine effect is actually depend  additive they add nothing to do with octane number.

No man, Ive read that they help with detecting pinging and adjusting the timing. My car requires minimum of RON95, im currently using RON97, no harm to try VPOWER Racing or RON100

If you don't modify your 330i to boost higher, no point using 100 I think, and don't expect better mileage if any would offset the big price difference. As for your other 2, total waste of money filling up 97 for them, just 95 is good enough.

You think so? I can't say i know any better. The petrol cover did say "RON95 (min RON92)"

The compression ratio is also only 11:1 compared to other cars like Mazda with 13:1

But some people (who don't drive this car) keep telling me to fill up RON97 to avoid knocking. Not so sure now, no one can give definite answer (other than that BMW petrol cover la)

Sorry, is this the 330i F30 or the old 330i E90?

If compression ratio is 11:1 with turbocharged,  then I think 97 is safer. Having said that since BMW put 95 on the fuel cover, then surely they have adjusted the tuning to suite 95, hence it should run perfectly fine with 95 and the improvement of 97 might not be significant.

Mazda 13:1 compression is because it's GDi NA engine. Like my Mark X, 12:1, yet I just fill up 95 for it!

Its the 2019 G20 330i

Ill research more
