Would be very interesting how much subsidy will be given as oil price continue to rise..The tension between Iran, USA and Israel playing right now will push price higher.. PH have make abolishing GST and reduce oil price in 100 days a cornerstone of their manifesto..Now to walk the talk..

If you browse through FB post about fuel price,Many are restless that PH still hasn't announced fuel price reduction..PH have really put themselves in a quandary here..Many people expect price to come down below rm 2...A Lot of kampung folks don't know or care about global oil price..What they want is cheap oil prices...I don't know people will trust PH is they reneged on their promise

QUOTE(isr25 @ May 23 2018, 10:47 AM) Just in case anyone is interested to know what is the fuel "market price" now: Wow...I wonder how long will the gomen subsidized petrol price... Cross border fuel smuggling will definitely rise..Daily estimated price for 22 May 2018: USD91.91 per barrel MOPS95 Exchange rate of USD1 = MYR3.9780 RM365.61798 per barrel 1 barrel = 158.987295L RM2.2997/L Operator Margins is RM0.05 Alpha, RM0.0954 Operating Cost, RM0.05 Oil company margin, and RM0.1219 Petrol station dealer's margin RM2.2997+RM0.3173 = RM2.62/L Thus the government is subsidizing around 42sen for every litre you are using. |

QUOTE(jamespaul @ Dec 21 2018, 07:36 AM) I remember the people currently in power now holding placards demonstrating demanding low fuel price. Some even produce a formula for cheap price..And now we are subsidizing them?????This is daylight robbery..Even during Najib time price comes down when world price comes down and they stick to a real formula determining price according to world market..Now what?? |
