If calculating 5/3 to 11/3 cycle (Thursday to Wednesday - weekends are using Friday prices), my estimate is both RON95 & RON97 will go down by 16 sen to RM1.73 and RM2.03 respectively (±1 sen).

According to my historical records, last time RON95 was priced similarly was October 2016 at RM1.70/l - just when I started estimating the fuel price. In Sep 2016, RON97 was priced at RM2.05.

At current daily prices of RM1.5X, we have to go back to May 2005 - RON97 was RM1.52 and RON92 was RM1.58. There was no RON95 during this time as it was introduced in May 2009.

The Sales Tax (Rate of Tax) Order 2018 which was published on the 29 August 2018,
has set the tax rate for petrol at 60 cents per liter and diesel at 40 cents per liter.
This rate is stated on page 56 & 57 of the order as per document attached.
This is not withstanding any relief given by the government from time to time.

Personal estimation, RON95 will decrease 3-4 cents this week, so it will be RM1.21 / RM1.22 per litre

Yup, I feel the same - no longer accurate as Govt determines the price now. It can go up, it can go down. The only thing is they are allowed to tax us 60 sen, so around 1.50 max price?
