As of 25/2 - it's highly likely it's gonna go up a significant amount again at RM2.14/L for RON95. Although Brent crude prices for Monday went down significantly, TAPIS fuel is still holding high. Fuel up by Friday peeps. Will update on Thursday for a definitive figure. https://goo.gl/cpYiBN

Fuel price because of Forex and Global oil price. Not sure how our government can cheat.

He/she's referring to the period before float was reimplemented, when price remained RM2.20/L even though market price fell below that.

Obviously ignoring that for the months prior to that subsidy was given with total amount exceeding the 'profit' from those 2 months of fixed price above market price. And adding in unsubstantiated allegations of corruption.

Good news for RON95 users as prices are capped at RM2.08/l. Diesel price cap is maintained at RM2.18, but there is no capping for RON97.

Calculation and table of estimated price can be found at this link: https://goo.gl/cpYiBN

if calculating 21/2 to 27/2 cycle (Thursday to Wednesday - weekends are using Friday prices), RON95 should be around RM2.13, and RON97 should be around RM2.43.

However, since they announced that RON95 will be capped at RM2.08/l, my estimate, that they will be announcing that RON95 will maintain at RM2.08 and RON97 price will go up by 6 sen (±1 sen).

Tried to calculate diesel last time, but unsure how is the formula as it has the B7 mix. Anyway, diesel is capped at RM2.18 for now.

30 sen difference between RON95 & 97? It seems to be what the government is pricing it for now. There are no SST being charged for fuel (95/97) but there is an unofficial tax on RON97. It should only be around 14-15 sen higher than RON95...

don't be naive. we have to differentiate between "have to listen" or "willingly listen".

blanket subsidy isn't a good/efficient form of subsidy. those who doesn't need or shouldn't get subsidy will be among the receivers.
