QUOTE(dinozilla @ Jan 9 2019, 09:59 PM) I'm calculating the estimated "real" retail price, not the inflated price the government is sucking from the citizens... RON97 is supposed to be 13-15 cents more from RON95 and always been so.QUOTE(-PuPu^ZaPruD3r- @ Jan 10 2019, 07:45 AM) Maybe so. But this is the daily calculation that i used la. As a reminder, the current RON95 price is RM1.93 and RON97 is RM2.23. Using the monthly average for December 2018, I did get the correct figure of RM1.93 for RON95, if including the increase of petrol dealer commission of 2.89 sen/litre. RON97 should be priced at RM2.07, but they capped the increase/decrease to 30 sen I think.
if calculating 31/12 to 4/1 cycle (Monday-Friday previous week), RON95 should be around RM1.85, and RON97 should be around RM1.99 if calculating 4/1 to 10/1 cycle (Friday to Thursday), RON95 should be around RM1.94, and RON97 should be around RM2.08 (as of 9/1) if calculating 7/1 to 11/1 cycle (Monday to Friday current week), RON95 should be around RM1.94, and RON97 should be around RM2.08 (as of 9/1) Let's see what tomorrow morning brings for 10/1 price then we can see how are they calculating. |

The current RON95 price is RM1.93 and RON97 is RM2.23 which was announced on Friday 4/1.

Let's see what they will be announcing this evening, then we can estimate how are they calculating. This post has been edited by isr25: Jan 11 2019, 09:18 AM |

QUOTE(leinnz @ Jan 11 2019, 10:39 AM) Well... last time it was more than RON95 was because of the GST - RON97 was taxed, but RON95 wasn’t. Also, the petrol subsidy since last year was in effect, so RON97 fluctuated upwards. The real RON97 price should’t be more than 14 sen higher than RON95... |

Apparently Bernama tweeted the new fuel prices but the tweet has been deleted. Did anyone manage to see it?

Here's the deleted tweet - Retail price of petrol RON97 and RON95 falls one sen to RM2.22 and RM1.92 per liter, respectively. Diesel goes up by one sen to RM2.05 per liter, starting tomorrow - Lim Guan Eng (Bernama)

Dang... RON97 prices is artificially high. Looks like govt is good in pricing RON95, but they’re really unofficially taxing RON97 users.
In any case, judging by the market trends at the moment, the fuel price might be going up next week |
