Looking forward to setup my first gaming rig, this are some of the hardware i choose for my setup.

1. Intel I5 6500 3.2ghz RM 799
2. EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 3gb RM 920
3. MSI H110M MOBO RM 330
4. PSU Corsair CX600M RM 369
5. Sandisk SSD PLUS 240GB RM 328
6. Corsair 8gb DDR4-2133 RM 254

My budget is around 4k including monitor, hdd, casing, mouse + keyboard.
Any recommendations on what to include/exclude to save up money but also improve performance?
Thanks!

You can go and check either dotatech or idealtech website. Easier to customization your build.

http://idealtech.com.my/store/builder/index.php

I did build 1 pc last year based on i5 6500, one thing i can suggest is.. to get the best mobo you can get, relevant to your budget. Easier for expansion if you want in the future.
.. How i wish i can spend on Maximus VIII gene lol...

Additionally i also do take outside suggestion with review such as at, at least here you can see the part review and how it would look like once completed.

I hope this help.

BTW, dont take GTX 1060 3gbm not worth it. Better go to RX 480 4gb or RX 470 8gb

I suggest holding your purchase until AMD Ryzen launches on March 2nd. It may take some time for price adjustments though.

I would only change the psu. For that kind of psu budget, superflower leadex silver is a better choice. It is fully modular too. The rest is good. Just get any 1tb hdd (wd caviar blue is my preferred choice tho). Casing is very subjective. Monitor, benq ew2440zh have a good color reproduction imo. Dell still better if you have the budget.

if 1070 is way too off your budget, i'd suggest a used 980 (around RM1100-1200ish) based on the numbers here.

For the casing, make sure you get one that make full use of your mother board,

eg:

Your motherboard has "2X FRONT USB 3.1 GEN1", you should get a casing that comes with that connector.

...If you require it. I always found case to be mostly down to personal preference. For example, I quite like compact cube styles.
