ok la sorry if i came abit rough but i had to because i see you are too naive and hopeful

unfortunately reality isnt like hollywood movies

despite all the probabilities that they may be other life outside of earth

at the moment with our current understanding of physic there is no way to know for sure

unlikely we would learn more unless there is a great breakthrough in physic

for now we are still limited by the restriction of the current law of physic

its impossible to make contact because soundwave travel at speed of light, so even if we aim all our dishes towards this solar system it will take about 40 years for the message to reach and another 40 years for them to reply

and the odd is really low , even if there is life it could not have evolved to a complex organism and even if its evolved to complex organism it could just become animals without intelligence like human or even if it has intelligence but they could be primitive without technology and even if they are not primitive and have technology their technological tree could be completely different than ours ie they might not discover sound wave yet or sound wave could be too obsolete for them

so the only way to know for sure is to actually travel there to see for our self ... but that wont be possible unless we can increase our lifespan , improve our resistance to cosmic radiation, come out with better waste recycling technology so we can redrink and eat our waste and feces in the interstellar journey ...have a working hibernation technology .. improve the current spacecraft propulsion system (the current fastest spacecraft will take us about 70,000 years to reach proxima (which is only 4 light years away from our solar system) 40 light years means 700,000 years with current technology

humanity still have long way to go.. from the way i see it we can only become a spacefaring race when humanity evolve into cybernetic sentient being that way half of the problem humanity would face during interstellar travel would be solved.. and our worse enemy is time.. thats why A.I is the future... when humanity dies out robots with A.I will populate the galaxy/universe because for self creating and self repair robots if they are sentient they are superior in almost everyway to humans.. as long as they dont get destroyed they can live for million of years.... funny isnt it to A.I and robot we are their creator and yet we cant save ourselves.. and when we make ai/robots we try to make them in our image.. millions years later those a.i will be curious and tried to biologically recreate human
