Wondering what are the demand of a garage gym in Malaysia. As you can see is a growing market in US and Australia.
What are budget like.

As I know, a good sufficient free weights garage gym (no electronic machine) may cost up to RM20,000 max.
with a set of barbell (200kg+/-), cage/stands, platform, dumbbells and bench.

Yea, I'm sort of helping them in terms of equipment like treadmills and other machines.
i'm coming up with locally made metal works for rigs and racks. training bars will be from overseas like how Savage Gears did it.

It's just too bad that I live in a condo dry.gif

Having a home gym is the dream for me. I think that's the limiting factor in the demands in the city, not many people live in a landed property nowadays. Those that do rarely have much extra room for a rack and platform.

I want to build my own garage gym but it's very expensive in Sarawak. Olympic bar with weight plate cost about Rm2k. Not sure about the bench and power rack. One fine day I hope I can bench and squat at my own power rack instead benching and squatting with my cheap squat rack. It sucks when I need to do the roll of shame.

fractional plates exist for variants up to 250g, thats the smallest I have personally seen in real life. the problem is most gyms dont stock them
