My 1.3 can chase forte. I remember that one time this forte guy gave me mid finger at KESAS. Chased him until Kota kenuning and took my baton wanted to whack already, then he apologised for doing it. In the end he was late to whatever he needed to do because I held him back and talked sense into him.

From KESAS to Hicom exit towards puchong U turn back to Kota kemuning. Lel. He couldn't shake me off.

Why cannot. I can. I'm always on second gear when I'm below 40 kmh. Hehe. People who dunno how to play with gear better go back to driving school. Bodo one I tell you. That's why in Malaysia lots of jam at mountain/hills/bridge roads.

If it's an auto, no care which gear you put, say you're at 20kmh, your car will auto engage second gear.

Of course la if you no engage lower gear surely under power one. Ayam make sure my car have enough power when climbing hills. But sure it is fuel efficient for me.

Me lucky, touchwood, everything is perfect. Everyday whack gear box to use engine braking to date still awesome. Though I suspect my condenser is now got problem or no gas only.

Highway bridge I like to climb fast. Then I see the car behind become the road hogger. Hahahaha 😂😂😂😂

If old one you engage by pressing O/D button la.

LPLB model and above just change to 3 but don't have L gear.

Throw in some handing mod and it's a good car around corners, actually. We're not talking jaguar or Aston Martin level of cornering stuffs here la haha. Just that it's good enough.

If you're driving auto just change gears manually lor if it becomes underpowered during climbs. Why wanna step on accelerator harder and let the ECU decide, haha

It's for you to change on the fly my brake pads have been factory original since 2013. Only this march or April I'll change. My point: use engine braking, not brakes.

2 and L is obvious; though newer Myvis don't have L. And you should not shift into L when moving more than a certain speed, iinm 10/20kmh or more. It'll be tight, don't force it.

Not the same at all.

O/D in a sense is like your 3rd gear la - but if you're at a halt you won't be in 3rd gear, obviously.


Shift lock is for you to use when your car is switched off.

Say you lost your keys, or car broke down/can't start. Your car is in P gear. Can't push it even with hand brakes off, so you press down on SHIFT LOCK and now you can change gears.

The newer Vios should have this latch for you to access shift-lock.
