It is reliable, it is quite fuel efficient, it is practically bullet proof and parts are cheap.

Any newer technology would not be making it much more economical than it can introduce increase costs to it

On a serious note, city drive get 1.3 enough. My FC is 14-16km/litre. But I changed my air filter to works engineer one, dunno if that helps the FC or not. Spark plug also change. But I seldom pecut la, usually drive around 80-110km/hr.

Extra RM20 between 1.3 and 1.5 a year is not much. Insurance on the other hand is another story 

mine is cheaper la. xm2 only.  still michelin mah. 205/60/15 for my almari

My 1.3 can chase forte. I remember that one time this forte guy gave me mid finger at KESAS. Chased him until Kota kenuning and took my baton wanted to whack already, then he apologised for doing it. In the end he was late to whatever he needed to do because I held him back and talked sense into him.

From KESAS to Hicom exit towards puchong U turn back to Kota kemuning. Lel. He couldn't shake me off.
