My specs with Hoya lenses had lots of scratches even though salesperson told me these are quality products and tough resistance to scratches.

Now I only opt for normal lenses.

After constant washing every 4-5 days with liquid soap, not so reflective as it used to be
Ooh yeah the lens starts to show signs of dust particles scratching too.

Still wearing it, doctor say eyes vision maintained in 2 years considered quite good for me edi.

I'm using Seiko lens and i think it's quite good

The coating crack multiple times.
Had to get it replaced again and again and again.
Within the warranty period, I've went to the shop numerous times to get it changed.

I never heard essilor until I got recommended to use once. This shit coating eat off like crazy. Then they told me don't use soap this that to wash. I said last time I use hoya, I wash with soap, shampoo also no coating problem. Only calar.

Now try Zeiss, also calar only... no coating problem.

Many decades ago Hoya quality control is good now sux to the max!

My first hoya 20 years ago was quite godly. Stepped on it on a beach, washed with all kind of imaginable soap n shampoo but coating still fine. I tried Essilor on a friend's recommendation and it is definitely worse than hoya since it took less than 2 years to destroy the coating beyond use. Now with Zeiss, good care, no coating problem but scratch like crazy.

Personally I'm thinking going back to hoya for a try.

did you opt for their scratch resistance lenses? because all they do is actually add a coat of so called "Anti Scratch" coating on top of the lens.

when it's new it's pretty good, however after few years the coating starts to come off and you get those "scratches" & "fogs".

the more often you clean the glasses the faster they come off.

so i only use non-coating lenses.

if you want scratch free, go for glasses but they are heavier & more expensive & fragile. but they offer the best clarity compared to plastic which would also turn yellow over time but you won't notice it just cosmetics.

i am using carl zeiss digital lenses..seems like normal lenses blue light...
