Had they just made Persona only, they can reach volume faster, lower cost way more. Now things are more complex, more models means more suppliers, split sales volume means higher cost per unit, etc.

If compare Bezza to Saga VVT, Perodua can offer OEM accessories for all variant from day one. Proton not even bother about it and Persona only offering skirting on top of premium persona.
