Guys, for my first android tv box (zero experience) , do you think I should buy a RM500~RM600 box or a cheaper option like RM200~RM400 box?
Mainly will use for streaming english/chinese/hongkong drama or some movie. For movie playback from so far I am quite satisfied with my Samsung 4k TV (ks7000 series) . The downside is the Samsung custom OS have quite limited apps available. I would prefer it to be a smooth device without much lag. Currently I am in between this 2 box as suggested by fellow forumers here. http://www.lazada.com.my/minix-neo-u9-h-am...71326.html?ff=1 http://www.lazada.com.my/himedia-q10pro-4t...ml?ff=1&boost=1 Actually tempted to get those paid ahem iptv service but their box seems low spec and I am worry of sluggish performance. thanks in advance fellow sifus This post has been edited by starz92: Apr 18 2017, 11:01 AM |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Apr 19 2017, 12:41 PM) cannot compare directly. Can I know what are the differ in specs and features? in layman term?the specs and features are quite different. support will also be diff. price... one is rm4xx, the other 6xx. understand that support for it will be close to non-existent for S912 |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Apr 19 2017, 01:46 PM) the basic spec is "2/16gb android5.1" or 3/32gb android6.0" or... got it. after factoring in warranty claim, technical support etc, I think I will likely get a HiMedia Q10 Pro from nicety the diff is not just in those but how good the firmware is, video and audio decoding software, updates, etc. the worst boxes come with half cooked trial firmwares with no further updates. i m not saying that for the box u posted - i don't know it at all. just like there are a hundred brands each with 10 models that i don't know! in general, buy a box that is used by many, popular, easy to find answers to problems. read page 1 of this thread, some info/details there. QUOTE(pluginbaby @ Apr 19 2017, 05:35 PM) If you are not using advanced audio setup at home and just using standard TV speaker, it is a go as h96 does its job well for basic Kodi streaming. This box is supported by Superceleron for his custom builds, similar performance to Beelink GT1 Ultimate it seems. You can check Freaktab on this. lols i am using samsung soundbar connected with samsung tv. I think I will go for HiMedia for better future proof. But if you have advanced audio setup, requires post audio processing and handling which is lacking in S912, then go for Himedia q10 pro. It can handle better media processing if you have those intense processing requirements media files in local storage. Thanks. |
