I got a Mecool M8S Pro L recently.

Astro on the go can be installed.  Login is successful.
But you can only watch certain channels like Awani and Go Shop.
Other channels just pusing only. 

From what I read so far here, no one was successful in solving this?
Unroot? Magisk?

I will try this on my old box too. Yeah, I will need to boot into recovery mode which I think I did before but I forgot.
How did you boot into yours?

Thank you @voncrane. Do we need to root the mecool box for apps installation (some iptv apps) ? Google Apps? was it simple interface that easy to navigate? and any recommended seller? haha, too much question. Need to look for topic discussing this box only.

I would be dissappointed if it doesn't support at least FHD Netflix but would be great if it can do 4k

yesterday oni got chance to play again with m8s, but still asteruk still crash...

boot into recovery, install twrp, in twrp install magisk.zip.

boot into android, install magisk manager apk.
launch magisk manager and hide astreruk go (and hypptv) and reboot. (clear cache + davik)

launch asteruk go, in login screen it still crash?

Hey, you got AOTG working fine on yours. Still working? Also, what hardware version is yours (LB or LQ)? Version can be found stated on the sticker under the box. ATV launcher with voice remote or different?

My mecool m8s pro l having netflix issue since last week..
Able to login but when its loading then stop shown 'the title is not available to watch instantly' with error code tvq-pb-103(2.10)
Then today cannot login anymore, when click icon the its shown 'netflix has counter error' code:ui-800-3

Already keep google for any solution but no luck..still waiting for modder or manafacture to release any patch..

Actually you can install other Android apps.

1) First you go to Google playstore to download and install a SideLoader.

2) Then you change the settings on your TV to allow unknown source.

3) Download your apk files from sites like apkpure.com into a thumbdrive.

4) Install a file explorer like ES Explorer or some other file managers from Android TV Appstore.

5) Run ES EXplorer. Stick your thumbdrive into the TV. It should appear, now you can install the apk and the apps will be available from your Sideloader app.

I forgot what TV you have...is it Android TV? The above only applicable for Android TV.....my mistake here.

As far as I know, when the box is shipped with L1, as long as we don't tamper with the bootloader, bootsequence etc, rooting is not a problem. So with root, we can make the boxes fake the Netflix approved android TV ?

What "solutions for using netflix Android TV" you have followed ? Does the instruction including these steps :-

1. Modified build.prop ?
2. Did you add the two files mentioned ?
3. Did you also changed the launcher to the lean and mean launcher ?

I do come across a few posts about these "solutions for using netflix on android TV". The instructions are quite the same.

What MeCool box you are using ? From what GuyM said his boxes from MeCool are able to run 4k video from Netflix.
