hi guys..
i am very new to tv box... so i am looking for a basic entry level box.
so far i have targeted 2 box which is X96 and MXQ Pro+.(both around rm190)
both also have 2Gb/16Rom..
preinstalled kodi, google store etc etc.... found both them in lelong.com.my.

are the 2 mention above good choice .?
are there better ones with around same budget ?
please advise...tq in advance..

As I mentioned in the post earlier, these boxes do not have an external antenna. Never use X96 but I think they are similar OEM products as MXQ pro.

Do you need to connect to a far away router ? If yes, then you might need to rethink about these boxes.

Ok.. is there a better box. my budget can stretch to rm300.

By the way if i connect the android box to a LAN cable then will it be better ?(Model x96 & MXQ pro+)

how about H96Pro plus ?

Firstly, learn to read first before asking questions. Cuz high chances are, the questions have already been answered. Obviously, when connected to LAN via cable, everything is better.. As wifi networks are prone to interference. Start with page one and use the search feature. It's there for a reason.

i m sorry ... but can u point me to the model that is within my budget rm300.
there are so many on the market and its really confusing..

Well, H96 pro plus is using Amlogic S912, same as that of Minix u9h. However, the main different will be the firmware support. The price different is 2 times between that 2. If you don't have high expectation on the TV box and can't stretch your budget, then H96 pro + will be good enough, 4K videos will not be an issue but there could be limitation on HD audio.

thank u for the inputs.
currently this is my final 2 targets.
1 - MXQ PRO+ S905X 2G16G Quad Core 4K ultraHD TV BOX Android 6.0 64BIT (Rm215) from Lelong.com.my
2 - H96 PRO+ TV BOX S912 Octa Core 3GB RAM 32GB ROM ANDROID 6 (Rm359) from Lelong.com.my

Check this out. U less the risk of getting a defective product but add monehhh. Hehe. http://www.mudah.my/H96+PRO+3G+32G+android...ox-49036211.htm

I saw some user's review from Lazada for budget box and some complaint it cant be power on after few days. Idk if its the user issue or its really hardware issue. Damn nightmare.

this is really scary. but its the risk u are taking buying ship from oversea.

there are various types of antenna design...some are better than others...you need to know what to look for...if it is really missing then you have a serious problem...

example my vensmile u1 uses an internal antenna but reception is better than my himedia Q16 with external antenna...
*
if reception is poor then better connect lan cable.

Yeah I know it is a problem, as I compare side by side my android handphone is able to connect to the far away router whereas this box MxQ pro+ is intermittently dropping its connection. And when I open it up, I don't see any cable at all, everything is just circuit board and components.

But after I made my phone as wifi repeater/extender, it is able to use by phone to connect to internet, and the connection is stable. That's because my phone and the MxQ is only 5 feet away. wink.gif
*
how is the wifi reception speed like after u got that stable connection ?

Are you lan connected or wifi connected ?

If wifi, how far away is your router ?

Anyways when I dig the internet about the inside of MXQ pro, it seems to have internal antenna. Sample video shows the inside of the MXQ pro :-

However, my box is a newer version called the MXQ pro plus. Here is how it looks like the inside ( there is a date on the board ).

[attachmentid=9122274]

Obsolutely no antenna cable. Clean looking, does not look like has been damaged or anything.

that is a very stable connection u having..
still waiting for my MXQ pro+ to arrive...
