I recently bought and started trying out this Mecool KIII Pro Android box ( https://androidpctv.com/review-mecool-kiii-pro/ ).
It runs on Android 7.12 (non Android TV).

So the normal installation of the iflix app ( https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/iflix-sdn-bhd/iflix/ ) on this non-Android TV device results in the UI layout of the regular mobile one.
But for the same app (i.e same package name) installed on Android TV will have the Android TV (i.e Leanback mode) layout.

Now I want to get iflix to be Android TV /Leanback layout despite on a non-Android TV system.

So I tried App Cloner ( https://appcloner.app/ ) to clone it into its Android TV version. Did not work and cloned version just installs the regular mobile layout.

App Cloner clone to Android TV version does work with TuneIn app ( https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/tunein-inc/tunein-radio/ ).

Anybody else have experience with this ?

Sure, I could use some custom ATV ROMs ( ATVxperience or Poison ATV ROM etc ), but I will lose DVB tuner capability on my box. So I am forced to stick with stock firmware.
