I've been searching all over lowyat.net over this question "What is the best recording device i can plug into my android TV box EVpad/SV1 such that I can record midnight golf events that I cannot stay up to watch?"

I haven't been able to find a thread that talks about AV recording devices for HDMI outputs for streaming devices like a TV box that's reasonable in Malaysia.

I have however, found that in US - through google, there is a device called ClonerAlliance 4k UHD Pro that can do the job, but it's not sold here in Malaysia.

I'm pretty sure that there is such an equivalent product commonly sold in Malaysia but I've not been able to find it through google or lowyat.

Would appreciate if anyone can help/point me to the right product or direction.

Thank you for your reply. Not sure what is OBS. Did a google - Open Broadcaster Software? Did a bit of reading - and found it's most suitable for online gaming recording with/without audio.
I was trying to record TV streaming output from TV Box, I'm not sure if I have to switch on my monitor overnight to record a live game of golf while I'm sleeping. Is the OBS suitable for tv program recording?
Sorry - I don't play games, so I've never used the software before.
