if you are only focus on wifi strength, normally with external antenna is better
you should focus on what you wanna run/playback on tv box

Most probably, the app has sniffed that you ran a VPN & aren't at the location itself. The last app that played such stunt with me was Amazon's Prime Video app.. Only way I saw to clear it was to perform a factory reset. A full reinstall didn't help. Good luck.

TBH neither...However, since have to choose? I would go with the Tanix TX6 instead. Solely because the brand Tanix is known and the other is unknown. You should also be able to get AOTG working on the TX6 and Tanix might provide a firmware update or 2.

IMHO, tis best to use a truly smart but non-android OS TV as a display. Especially in the more affordable price bracket. Because they tend to have some issues and manufacturers won't be overly bothered to issue fixes. Next thing? You are stuck with buggy firmware. So better hope it's a decent display.. So at least in the future, you can simply pair it with an Android box. On the plus side, this model runs legit Google-certified Android TV OS. Thus YouTube should be great on it.. And I can see that Netflix 1080p HDR is achievable on it as well.. So okay la. TCL' recent flagship TVs are a force to be reckoned with, but of course, those are significantly more expensive la than this S6800.

The MiBox doesn't come pre-loaded with such ehem channels.. You would have to seek alternative sources and install on the box.. PLENTY out there.. Many stealing from each other.. Google and pick your poison.

Exactly...I too advise folks.. Get a decent TV that should at minimum be Netflix certified & YouTube Cast friendly.. That way you don't have to worry about such when getting a separate box for other media playback.

Unfortunately, the Unifi app is a finicky one..One sometimes has to try different versions in order to get one to work. There are also 2 variants of the Unifi app. Try the other one too, see if it works.

I would strongly recommend the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K or even the newer Chromecast with Google TV.. I can confirm that Surfshark & ExpressVPN works on either device... And you get better performance off em than the Mi Stick.

fyi my tivo stream 4k also unifi@play working so I dont see why Chromecast wouldn't work

PETALING JAYA: A company director has pleaded guilty to selling the “Long TV” Android box, a TV decoder and media centre which offers pirated television content, the domestic trade ministry said today.

It said the director pleaded guilty at the session court on Feb 8. He will be sentenced on March 1. The charge carries a penalty of a fine of up to RM40,000 and jail term of up to 10 years.

The domestic trade ministry statement did not name the director.

It said that the company which sold the “Long TV Android box” had violated the Copyright Act by promoting a piece of equipment and software that bypasses copyright protection of a broadcast.

He was accused of committing the offence at i-City in Section 7, Shah Alam, on Sept 2 last year.

The ministry said stern action would be taken against those who sold similar Android boxes offering pirated streaming of paid content.

The “Long TV” box is a household network device running on the Android operating system, providing access to thousands of streamed television channels from across the globe. It can also act as a media centre.

Anyone know how to get Astro Go works on Minix U22-XJ? Tried to installing by sideload the APK but can't launch the apps after installation. Sometimes only black screen sometimes apps say offline. Just received the box yesterday

Another one bites the dust...However, it seems the Company being charged isn't the main Long TV brand's company. Weird, you'd think they'd go after the main company versus just a reseller.

Unfortunately, Astro has changed a ton of stuff in their app to ruin the previous Minix can run guarantee. I would suggest you try some modded apks floating around. You might get lucky.

works.. abit strangely for me. sometimes when i open the apps, it will come out with 2 sounds, like there are 2 playtv open at the same time. i need to go to settings & force stop it, then it will be ok. i installed from playstore that means its official one.

I ended getting a TX3 from shopee seller Linglang, highly recommended seller here in the forums. Eventho there r newer box in the market, tx3 has a very capable Amlogic S905X3. Only after getting my first android box, i now realize all those ads that market "10000x free channels" most is bull crap. N because of that i also realize its actually very easy to setup ur own channels, apks, apps, etc. Having said that the tx3 i bought came wit very minimal n basic apps which is a good thing. Wifi connection also very stable, i actually bought an add on lan cable just incase but ended up not using it.
