Voncrane I ill give it a try later this week on the MX with 64bit but as mentioned VLC works well with passthru etc
On Unifi ATV 1.2.10 version, I'm able to watch using the id ending with @iptv smoothly however when you launch it shows an error but then it'll immediately plays soon after without drama. That's the bug I told you about with attached photo below which is irritating..
For AOTG, I don't use or need it hence unable to test but if someone wants to know and trust me, I'm willing to try out using their ID
The issue with MX as per screenshot below...

Yeah sure.. Give it a go..
Hmmm, hopefully the next app update fixes the bug.. I'll update my review to reflect this.. Thanks.
No worries, perhaps once mine (borrowed) issues is resolved, I'll pass it to you to test it out... Between the likes of Netflix, YouTube, Prime, Hulu and ehem IPTV, I too rarely use the Astro Go app. But it's a big deal for others (particularly newbies) and I can see why. Astro Go & TM's UnifiTV are the easiest ways to get legit and fairly reliable IPTV service on an Android box. not to mention account sharing ... So be nice to confirm if it works or not. Dealing with em via email. So lots of back and forth..
hi all,i want to ask about longtv, need your suggestion
I was thinking of getting ‘LongTV’ at first. When I compared the specs with others of the like, it was somewhat low specs one. So, go and check ‘EVPAD’ and ‘SVI Cloud’. For around the same price, you gets more RAM and Storage. They both have a variety of movies, dramas, and live TV.

ok,thanks for your suggestion,i will go check it out
Good Evening. Could anyone recommend a good preinstalled tv box for me. Running it wilh an old lcd tv. Was recommended TX3 and BeeWin (unrooted). Whats a good spec to have like ram n storage. Also recommend a good shopee seller. Thank You.
How are the qualities of Android TV boxes three days?
I've tried at my in-laws.. they are quite bad especially for Chinese dramas. Usually only 360p and some episodes can't even load. I'm too used to Netflix 1080p at least. Anything lesser is shit. But there are quite old, like 3-4 years ago. So have they improved?
mostly app/source problem... nothing to do with boxes nowadays
Wanna get some tips from fellow bros. For android TV, how do one download app from website. Noticed that playstore is quite crappy! very little apps available.

You can either choose to sideload into atv box of its not available in play store... Anyway what app do you intend to install in your box?

Hey... Hard to simply recommend. There are many good boxes out there. With the way you structured your question. i would suggest you focus instead on which seller can provide you the best after-sales service. Personally, i don't recommend going the pre-installed box route. But I understand why it can be preferred. So find a good seller. If you goal is to mostly stream ehem IPTV & low demands VOD content.. Then a decent box with 2GB DDR3/DDR4 RAM & 16GB fast storage should be sufficient. Sorry, I can't recommend any sellers... BUT can help you decide which product to go with. Do your research and reply back with links to em and we pick the best or so.

Qualities are great... 3 years in tech years is like a decade... Tons of advancement has happened since then. I remember one of my first Android TV boxes.. The Noontec A1 i believe, if you gave me that box free today.. I'll take a drill and put 10 holes in it instead.. haha. So yeah, as advised, it's just the poor quality of the box or services being run on the box. Have to keep with the times. We have boxes today that integrate seamlessly into one's Smart Home. You use the voice remote to control your Aircons, lights, sound system, thermostat, etc. Bet your in-laws four year old boxes can't do none of that.

Here you go... It's a similar concept..When I have more than one app to install. I find it's easier to use a PC to download all onto flash drive and plug that into the box. Some boxes or File Managers come with a special section or feature that can automatically detect APKs on the drive and 1-click installs. Not exactly shown below.. But watch and you should get the idea.

Yes....Install an app with better service.. Boxes are just that... Boxes, you need to make it your own. It's when it can't be done? then you seek a better box. All boxes are not equal.
Depending on the TV's OS...If proprietary like Samsung's SmartHub/Tizen or LG's WebOS, you are stuck mostly with the apps in their respective stores.

Hey... Have you tried going into Developer mode and increasing the animations on it? Also... *Scroll down to the very bottom of the home screen and select the “Customize Channels” button. *Select the “Play Next” option from the top of the menu. *Leave the toggle from the previous step “On,” and scroll down through the menu to toggle on or off the apps you wish to appear in Play Next. You can customize what appears in the Play Next channel.

Nice... Price bumped to $50 though and unfortunately still just USA only via Walmart...
woah!!! holy shit! any brands that you will recommend? I am trying to slowly build a smart home too, 1 device at a time hahaha
Yup.. The S**t is indeed holy.. haha... Funny you should ask.. I'm looking into the whole Smart Home concept too.. but not too seriously now. Perhaps in a year I'll jump in with both feet.. I just don't want to pour in money into what seems to be the best thing now, only for it to be obsolete in 6 months, AND still doesn't transform my home to a grounded USS Enterprise.. I reckon with COVID and all.. CES 2021 holds much promise. What I've learnt so far is that it can either be a well put together system or a messy one. Sadly, way too many proprietary systems in place, with each trying to capture the whole market. There's Xiaomi, IFTTT, Google Assistant, Amazon's Alexa, Samsung SmartThings, Logitech, Yonomi, and even Apple with their HomeKit. If I had to jump in now, I would go all in with Google Assistant. A decision made easier because I'm fairly comfortable with the Android ecosystem. Also plenty speakers, smart watches, lights, air-cons, door locks, TVs, TV Boxes, doors open/close, windows too...curtains/blinds, etc, can be easily integrated with em. Either because they already ship with Google Assistant support or can be commanded by a device with Google Assistant.
Easiest example of an Android TV box would be the Mecool KM1 Deluxe I just reviewed or the upcoming Mecool KM6 Classic/Deluxe with the latest AMLogic S905X4 (KM1 Deluxe has AMLogic S905X3). Basically, devices that are Google certified and fully compatible with Google Assistant.

Hmmm....I can't seem to think of anything else right now. Since no longer with me.. .. But I do recall that as i installed apps, launched and played stuff.. Their shortcuts popped up on the home screen and background colors changed as I scrolled... IIRC, at the very top got more moving images or videos..Perhaps a factory reset?

Yea yea! Too many brand all around. And then so many different hubs and gateways and whatever. It's so confusing and hard to find one for all. Some brans are better at some stuff, some at other stuff. Then different brands cannot connect to each other 🤦♂️ so frustrating. They don't have a common wavelength like Google Login or FB login.
Cool, will have a look at your suggestions! Thanks a lot!
Exactly... That's why I'm giving them as long as I can to sell/buy each other if they have to.. Haha.. Merge and build a solid ecosystem. Naturally i would like to see competition. So the fight for improvement and advancement MUST go on. Later all relax and we can't get nicer toys to play with.
You are welcome. If you find cool stuff for Smart Homes? Please hit me up yeah..
My Astro go stop working correctly on MINIX U9H. It just display a blank screen after logging in.
Can anyone sugggest me a good tvbox to run astro go without much tinkering? Budget is not an issue. And I dont prefer to run astro go from laptop / mirroring to tv. Thank you in advance.
Best regards, Sinpayat Balibaya
Hey....Noticed your post in the other Astro thread... You should now know which other option to get.. IMO, don't stress it. Pour that "budget is not and issue" money instead into seeking much better free or paid alternatives. You keep the same box, just install other software and boom... Back in business.Cheaper too.
P.S. Someone replied you that it still works on the Minix Neo U9-H.. So try a reinstall.
Been reading some threads in LYN, so far the alternatives are all illegal, is that correct? Not prefer to do anything illegal. Or is there other alternative that I didn't know of?
So far I'm subscribing to below streaming services: 1) Astro Go 2) Netflix 3) Amazon Prime 4) Apple TV+ 5) iFlix
You aren't wrong.. Since you no prefer to go the other routes.. Then yep.. Have to stick to the legal options. There's UnifiTV, Hulu, and Plex has some free Live TV as well.

Also Pluto Tv is technically legal, since it's free TV. It's just not officially offered in this region. But that doesn't stop one from searching for it's m3u8 playlist and loading it into Kodi...
