Netflix not a must... but it would be great to have... I seldom gaming at this moment and the don't want spend too much bcoz the main purpose is for my mum watch HK drama or maybe Korea drama. Because it is annoying when watch drama via browser it keep popup another ads window. Some more i saw the previous post mentioned Xiaomi user experience better than TX3.

free stuff normally got ads
better to have smart tv with netflix
mibox s is google certified box with android tv os, buy this if you no plan to upgrade new smart tv
else buy tx3 s905x3 is more powerful box compare to miboxs, still can run netflix but lower resolution & can support astro go too (account needed)

Hi, thanks for stating your requirements upfront. Helps in recommendation. However, still need to know your budget. Also, hope that data plan has unlimited or a large quota, cuz streaming even a few days a week consumes a lot in the end. Most here, use with fixed broadband lines with unlimited quota.. e.g. Unifi, Maxis or TIME. Then there's the issue of line speed and stability. 5Mbps isn't ideal as it's just about good enough for some 1080p streaming.

So I'm more into English content and Foreign Movies or TV shows.. Rarely concerned about your listed criteria. Hopefully, someone else on here, can help with good apps for those services. Nevertheless, I reckon you need a simple device but one that isn't too slow or problematic, and can still function in future, should you decide to upgrade your A/V equipment. Check out my in-depth review about the Beelink GT1 Mini-②.

Hey all, since I've got a YouTube Channel...I was wondering, besides the usual reviews.. What sort of specific videos would you like to see me make and put up? Tutorials for newbies or pros, etc? I'm open to your ideas.. notworthy.gif

Yes, you can browse the internet like on a desktop PC. You can also watch videos easily using browsers too. Performance depends on the site and browser used. Personally, I prefer apps to direct streaming off browsers. But hey, if the videos play well in the browser and the service doesn't have a decent app? No choice. True, there are quite a number of boxes to choose from. As for recommendation, we spoken about a few on here..The whys, whats, and nots....Try not to focus on the number and or on dunno-what-brand-name box, but instead on those already mentioned one here. At least, users have hands-on experience with these devices and can advice better. Another thing. I need you to understand this. Live football can be hit and miss sometimes. Most often for the best services, you must pay for it or do some heavy searching to locate free sources. Just because they are referred to as "TV Boxes". Doesn't mean that they all come pre-loaded with live TV, etc.

Hi, your budget is a healthy one.. Would you be interested in Netflix as well? Cuz if you are, then further restrictions apply. Else, the Beelink GT1 Mini-② should serve you quite sufficiently. Which means you have to turn your focus on what apps can provide the content you seek.. Kodi remains my number one must have app. You can couple Kodi with say dramago & icdrama addons. Then there are apps iFlix, Viu, Crunchyroll, Viki Rakuten & an RSS Player app for others. These are sources heavy in to supplying Asian content.

u can't...
only hv ps2 PSP GameCube Wii and all other older console
and even with this outdated console, the emu u will need a real powerful one... a high spec Android device or... gaming pc

I recommend u go to YouTube and watch the performance for this kind of emu game.
if u r satisfied, then u can consider nvida shield...

anyway I recommend u go for real console for gaming.
don't waste time... unless u r into retro game

Hmm, true.. Might as well spring for that.. I wanted to suggest it but felt it might be overkill la for his stated requirements. Save money where can right... Otherwise, can as to toup sikit to get the Pro and top up again to get the GS-King X or Nvidia Shield smile.gif

Meanwhile, all may enjoy this teaser. Got some feedback and figured making one long video might be too much for most to consume at a sitting. So I be breaking it up in segments and uploading. Hopefully it's the right move as I've noticed being too detailed in a YouTube video vs an article on here, results in "long" videos..

New users who are hunting for android boxes but unsure which is suitable for u? Tip.. search for Chigz Tech Reviews on utube, he has reviewed alot of boxes/sticks, complete with benchmarks and ranking charts.

I bought 2 boxes courtesy of his videos. First was X92 (now unable to turn on after 2years), and my current box is the Tanix Tx6. Suits within my budget and purpose of a box (streaming, no gaming).

Nope, in terms of performance, features, support, etc.. The Nvidia Shield is better. And the price does reflect that. Good stuff ain't always cheap they say.

Thanks for the sharing.. These are all well and good. However, the thing I notice is that most newbies who come in.. Don't actually want a box.. They want a service. It's hard to recommend a box for such services when one can't even be sure what services exactly. Example, if one comes in and says he/she wants a box for Astro, YouTube or Netflix or Kodi, etc.. Easy recommends.. but come in asking for box for Korean, HK, Canto, dramas, F1, Live EPL, and other similar live TV. Naturally they expect it to be FHD too. How to begin recommending? When the very performance is heavily dependent on a service that isn't even legit in the first place. Can't vouch for 99% uptime and or reliability either. sweat.gif

As per earlier suggestions... Here are 2 more videos from yours truly.. Like, Share and Sub yeah.. Thanks.

Thank you for your explanation. I read few posts here that there often talk about Nvidia, Mi S, Tx3, Beelink etc. Then, i choose one of them whether or not available in Shopee (below RM600). For Live Football, i try to use Kodi or pay subscription.
