ISPs, services,  governments, etc have been known to throttle or restrict access to certain services. I won't go into more detail since you are talking about illegal stuffs here..plus China app and China channels. If you've done the necessary such as.. Using a decent ethernet cable, changed default DNS settings to more favorable one and ensuring a healthy home network. Still have painful buffering that only goes away with the VPN? Unfortunately, you either have to find another, more compatible source or keep paying for the VPN. Welcome to the world of cord cutting.
That's the idea.. You are welcome.
Nope.. Similarly with HDR10.. The extra data will simply be discarded. You can only see the benefits on a DV/HDR10 equipped TV.

Same thing with Dolby Atmos...You need accompanying hardware (speaker amounts AND placement too) to be able to experience it. Be it a HT, Soundbar or AVR with dedicated speakers, etc,

But if you are asking if you must have capable hardware before being able to play a UHD + DV/HDR10 + Dolby Atmos file? As example...Nope, you can still play the file smoothly. Thing is, you won't get the enhanced picture and audio quality contained in the file. Usually, the experience will be downgraded. Example, say yours is just a UHD TV and DD audio equipment. Then you'll only get UHD + core Dolby audio. The rest is discarded as can't be harnessed.

1. No issues... Beta version or modded cuz rooted.
2. Now using TIME, I don't have active login details to properly test this. App might install and launch. But then, we know that isn't enough to confirm smooth playback. If you are willing to share, I can test specifically and report back.
3. Officially? Nope. Unofficially? Possible. Though as I always mention. If one needs Netflix in 4K, you must already have a 4K TV. Typically, these ship with a Netflix app. Use that instead. Much better. On the rare chance there isn't one or its a poor experience? ONLY purchase a confirmed Netflix certified device. Don't bother trying to keep up with the hacks out there. You'll just stress yourself over something a few extra RM will solve permanently.

Thanks and appreciate for your feedback notworthy.gif

One more....in order to run AOTG and Playtv@unifi - the device needs to be "Rooted" or "Not Rooted". Thanks again for your advice.

You're welcome.. Yup, as Frutie wrote.. Both are originally meant to run only on non-rooted devices. There are workarounds for rooted devices, some outlined earlier... However, if your primary concerns are absolute no hassle compatibility with AOTG and playtv? I recommend Minix boxes instead. Over the years and multiple app updates, even the older Neo U1 remains compatible with both apps. Netflix will be max 480p res + stereo. Want more? You'll have to get a separate device or use the inbuilt tv app.

So far I have tried Ethernet cable, WiFi 5GHz, google DNS in router setting, and VPN. Only VPN works no buffering. So sad now. sad.gif .

Your VPN is changing your location to China? The one throttling your connection is most probably the content provider in China or their ISP because you are loading their servers while not being the intended user (from China).

Last I tried (a month ago) don't work. Hence looking for alternative app that connects to the same server.

Try the older version, or upgrade your OS version.

I would recommend you try modded apks instead. Flash a custom ROM too, that might help if the modded apks don't run well on current ROM. If yours is the Sunvell T95Q? I'm certain there are a few custom ROMs that work on it. How well? You'd have to try it our yourself though as I don't have access to that box model.
